Hi ladies,

I am new to this group. We are planning to come back to Cbe from US.
I have two boys - 8 and 6 years old.
I am looking for different option for their school.
I don't have any idea about any schools. We are planning to join them in Cbe for the academic year 2018. Started my research on schools recently.
We will be staying in Vadavalli. Please let me know the schools closeby that I consider.
Will appreciate a list of schools with basic info on their syllabus and culture.

Thank You,
Sriradh

Hi, Even I am in same phase and as per my research in internet and friends circle below are the schools I have listed for my child. There are excellent schools for CBSE, but for ICSE very few options. CBSE: SSVM Camford international school CS Academy ICSE: KSIRS Liesux Samskara Academy Prakriya International school IB schools: Manchester Indian Public School In the above I have visited some schools. Regards, Bhuvana

Vadavalli is a best place for settling. You have plenty of options for schooling in vadavalli, namely:
PSBB, Delhi Public School, Chinmaya Vidyalaya (CBSE and Matric both).
PSBB and DPS follows CBSE pattern.
Good luck and keep updating on your decision :)

Thanks Bhuvana and Deemash. I studied in CBSE myself (20 years back) and I love its curriculum. But I dont know how it is now. I want homework for my kids but at the same time, homework should not take all their time in the evening. PSBB, DPS - they are all well famed schools.. To maintain their status will they push kids to get good scores? I dont want schools who go behind scores. Thats my only concern

I guess PSBB is a good choice but tough to get admissions these days!

Hello all,
I am new to this group as well. I live in UK now and planning to come back to Coimbatore for good in March/April 2018. I have 2 kids aged 8 and 4 and looking for good schools. Before deciding the school, I was initially confused on which syllabus to choose (CBSE and IB). I kind of leaning towards IB as the quality of education is good in IB than CBSE. I think the only option for IB in Coimbatore is TIPS? Is this right? What is the quality of education in this school? Much appreciate your help. Thanks.

HI Shabasu, did you get any idea? Im looking for 4th grade admission in IB/ IGCSE board school

Shabasu 2019-02-27 14:49:05

I put my kids in PSBB as it's very near home. The traffic is so bad here I don't want kids to spend the time on road or school bus going to far off school. Thanks.

Hello Parents, I am planning to  return  to Coimbatore from Sunnyvale CA. Looking for good school for my kids 4th grade and Kindergarten. Do you have  any feedback on which syllabus to opt  and  also any good schools .

Arjmom 2019-03-18 07:05:20

hello Nareshob! syllabus you can consider CBSE or Cambridge I think. ICSE is outdated, hardly any school follows it. State board is poor quality. my kids study Cambridge syllabus.

Hi Arjmom, From your messages on the forum here, I infer your kids go to CS academy igcse stream. I'm looking to admit my son in 5th grade. I'm moving from Muscat this April. I hope I'm not too late. Do they have French for second language? Also, can u tell me the fee structure. Thankyou

Arjmom 2019-03-25 20:37:34

yes, my kids go to CS cambridge, been in it for 3 years. older one takes french as II lang so definitely available. super team of teachers overall. dont know about the seats, you can check their website admissions.

hello parents,
We are shifting from Bangalore, and i am looking out for IB schools for my daughter. I have heard Manchester International School is good. Can someone help me with the reviews of the school please.

Hi Everyone,

we are moving ( partial move) this June with my to be 8th grader and have chosen Cs Academy igcse. They have limited seats and very responsive and focus on extra curricular is really good. Would love to meet some of you. Is that possible to meet and share ideas and socialize?

Welcome to Coimbatore and to CS!!! Honestly most of us are traveling in the summer and will be here when school opens. But don€™t worry you will meet many parents and there are parent groups which you can become part of (at least in the lower classes).

I see here some parents were looking for ICSE in coimbatore. Me too in the same lookout now. Is there any other good ICSE schools added to the list below?
KSIRS
Samskara Academy
Prakriya International school

While searching I found NISE(Nagarathinam International School) is having ICSE, any feedback for this school?

Hi, I am planning to move from Boston to CBE - 2 kids - 8th and 4th grade in 2022 academic year. I am hoping to join CS academy.

I am trying to decide between the Cambridge syllabus and CBSE. Anyone who has moved with kids in higher grades - please share your experience.

I would also like to know if there are tutors who teach kids online - language/Math etc. even before I come to CBE so that the academic transition is not too bad for them.

Thanks.
