hi suganya

Even my son is facing the same prob, dont worry once ur kid grows his respiration track expands so this prob will solve automatically at one point of age , even my pediatrician was facing the same prob he said he was ok by the age of 6 (his father was a doctor too ) at the same time take care of his diet too dont give cold items and dont take him out at nyt times with out a sweater nd wollen cap make sure his ears are covered . all the best

hi ,
my son is 9 yrs old & he's hving the same problem since he was 1 yr old.i've tried homeo(dr batras) even, but it was not effecive at all.we don't hve a family history of the same but still it continues.the doctors blame it on the bangalore climate & the pollens.

s of course doctors r saying its all becos of climate & pollution's. but wat we hav to do? the only thing we could do healthy diet  to make their immune system better. dont worry he will be better soon.

Wheezing is common in winter and rainy season, but preventive measures are there to overcome..See once winter starts pls cut down on cheese and major dairy products as they aggrevate wheez. In case the kid is very frequent in wheez doctor generally advices for nebulisation with some drug....But wat i wud suggest is pls buy a nebulisation kit at home.Whenever the child get cold in the initial phase we can give nebulisation with plain saline water NS ( repsules are not at all required)..the child lungs get expanded and reduce the seviarity and the difference is felt high.....The major mistake all parents do is whn the child is basically sick they dont tend to eat, so the parents only worry about the food intake and not the water intake where the kids get dehydatred.Enough amount of water should be given during wheezing so that the cold inside the lungs doesnt dry up due to lack of water and toughen the breathing....If a child  s prone to wheezing pls switch ur pediatric to  Peadiatric pulmonary specialist....This really matters.their level of analysing s very much a difference...Take care ...

My child is diagnosed with Juvenile Asthma( Bronchitis) and quite often fall sick due to infection in lungs despite keeping her on inhaler. We are seriously thinking of shifting to Hyderabad from Bangalore as Bangalore is generally very cold.

Can anybody tell me if Hyderabad weather will prove better for her condition?

My son was diagnosed with atopy at Apollo at age of 3yr, he has seasonal coughs and colds which turn to breathlessness and congestion. Used a lots of sprays and Montek LC kits. Shifted to Bangalore a yr back, the situation seemed the same.
Now My son has bronchial asthma he is 5yr, and has frequent seasonal colds and cough and nebulizations.
From Parentree got the reference of homeopathy doctor Dr. Ranga Sai, who practices homeopathy at Malleswaram.
We are getting our child treated with homeopathy with the same doctor, its been 8 months so far. This winter was very less troublesome. He had colds only twice between Oct and Jan. No wheezing at all.

After treatment, the colds and cough have reduced very very much and we did not nebulized him from the time we started the treatment. It looks very promising and my son is practically without any complaints now. Currrently the medication has been stopped and nothing is being given - only to visit if he gets any cold. Son is given ful freedom to eat and drink what he likes.

You may consider visiting him if you live in Bangalore.

Thanks Mohan! your post sounds very convincing and helpful! I also seem to go through similar issue with my 5 yr old kid. Please check the following post:
have you ever thought about Himalaya medicines such as Septilin or Bresol in particular?
I did try homeopathy earlier but did not help.

do you know of any branch of Dr. Ranga Sai in north (close to delhi)?
