I am looking for good ICSE schools in Chennai and I have listed a few ICSE schools.
Kindly give me your sugestions/views/comments about these schools - with respect to curricular & co-curricular activites and any other information that would be helpful.
Also, kindly give me the admission procedure for these schools.
Please feel free to add any other school, which I might have missed out.
Thank you all.
heard sishya is the best school... but u wont get the admission easily. need to register when pregnant
Sishya is a good one, but to get admission you should have registered urself minimum 3 years ago as Thomas said! The School is alse a good one, but I think they have only from Grade 1, please confirm with them. And Please remove The Ashram from your list - as it is neither ICSE nor CBSE. They follow matrculation system, that too only in paper!
Sishya has classes from LKG onwards.
Asram school has ICSE board. It also has Matriculation. Both the schools are in separete building.....
Yes, you are correct.
Do you have any first hand information about the school ?
Kindly share it.
the school KFI is an ICSE school
I had put my daughter in Ashram ICSE (PRE KG) which located in Srinagar colony which is behind Saidapet court. ICSE is just for name sake. Apart from fees there is no other difference between ICSE/CBSE/Matric in kindergarden.
They are very laid back, not very organised. Its been three months since the school has reopened but they have not provided the uniform yet but they collected the fees long back in April itself. if asked the teachers dont have any answers. And many parent feel the same.
Hari Shree is ICSE, and I have heard that it is good. Can someone tell me whether they have pre-kg?
i joined my son in ashram(anandavana) srinagar branch..which they say is a dream school of its director..but yes,,i agree qith some of them who told that they did not provide school dress and even ID cards.
my son is still contionuing in their other branch...
studies wise it is abit laid back when compared to other schools.but they do not pressurise the kids with lods of home work and lots of portions for exams.
and regatding the fee..when compared to many other schools i fell it is not very high as they provide lunch nd evening snacks..including milk nd biscuits.
teachers are very friendly too.
if u want ur kids to study in a friendly environment nd not that schools where u have high ompettivenes since early classes..,,this school would do u good.
ya it is good.uniforms and id cards are next.friendly eviron. is the best........

Please let us know what happened with the sishya admission. I am also in the same situation but for the year Jan 2014. I registered for my daughter when i was 6 months pregnant in May 2010. They gave me a chance admission receipt. Do I have a chance? All comments welcome.
anymore inputs abt Ashram ICSE? I have recd positive reviews abt the school saying the students are not pressurised, etc. but, are they totally let free? hope discipline is imparted as a part of the education system and our Indian values are added. I recd mixed opinion on these. can anyone clarify?
