Hi Vijaya Sankar,

First of all I want to thank you for all the information you had been providing. Could you also please confirm how is the new campus in Perungudi?
To my knowledge the kids were being taken to Sriperumbdur for Sports twice a week. Is this still happening?

Vijaysankar 2016-08-13 03:41:32

You are Welcome Dhruvsmom. The new campus is very good and my kid is going there.
To my knowledge the frequency to Oragadam had drastically reduced.
The frequency was more when the school was operating in saidapet and old perungudi campus.
During the opening ceremony of the new campus it was assured by the school management that Outdoor learning trip to Oragadam will substantially reduced and the facilities in the new campus will be used for the same.

Is the upkeep in the new campus better than the one in saidapet?

Am new in this discussion and I see that you are giving very valid inputs. I really appreciate it since living abroad, it really helps us to get to know. If you don't mind, can I email you? I don't want to post redundant questions here. Thanks in advance!

Hi, Please review TIPS PErungudi admission process for LKG and thier fees structure, advantage and disadvantages

liana2015 2017-02-24 22:03:09

hi I heard that TIPS perungudi is not registered and affiliated. Only coimbatore tips is registered because it is cbse. I came to know this information when I went to parents orientation in tips perungudi through one of tips staff when they were discussing among themselves in library.

Hello All,
I visited TIPS last week and they have commenced admissions for 2018-19. I'm trying to out my daughter for grade 1 as it looks like one of the promising IB schools. I'm here for 2 reasons. 1 - To provide info. on what I heard from TIPS and 2 - To hear from other parents if this is the school I should be going with.

Fee structure:
One time payment during registration - 1 lakh rupees (25k is refundable)
Recurring fees - 2.25 lakhs (total that arrives from the break-up the school provided)

Now to the tough part:
I have been asked to confirm the admission by 1 lakh latest by 5th Dec 2017 for 2018-19 academic year that will start in Jun'18
The school has IB from Grade 1- 5 and 6 - 10 will be Cambridge. Again 11-12 is IB.

I'm reading both positive and negative reviews about the school in Parentree.
Especially on the fees where someone has quotes it to be 4 lakhs.
Does the admission close by Dec?
Also there is a canal running behind the school and if it is safe during rainy season (sorry just a paranoid mother).
What kind of education can kids pursue in future in India if they chose to continue with IB?
Is the Management approachable?

Requesting existing parents to guide.

PS: Thanks to Mr.Vijayshankar for answering most of the questions on TIPS already on this thread!

Regards, Keerthi

Hi,
IB methodology seems to be good and new for our children which provides activity based learning instead of writing, reading a lot without knowing what it is.
So you can opt. School staffs will not be too good towards parents once you became TIPSian. There will be a big communication gap between teachers and parents that you will realize after TIPSian. You will not be allowed anytime to meet teacher/staffs. A kid who has great sagacity will enjoy this school and parents too. But naive child will little bit struggle to adapt the situation since school seems to be high tech.
More or less, If you have more money and if you like activity based learning / IB curriculum and of course if you do not much care about teacher/parent communication then you can always go with TIPS.

Regards
Pagiru

Will teacher and children communication go through good? Do they teach well, would be sad if naive students were not taken care. How is School management?

Hi All, Would like to know reviews about TIPS-Perungudi from parents of kg classes. Are the kids hit by the teachers? Do the teachers really care about the kids and stop them from bullying each other? Reading some negative reviews of late especially after the school got listed as one of the best schools. So would like to know if the management has become complacent.

Same procedure still continues..my daughter was also just dropped like that and the van left..irresponsible reply given by the transport team ..Teachers also din give a proper reply....No change..it's just 6 months I have put my kid in senior kg....too much we underwent

20Miya 2018-11-09 12:31:50

Yes we also got carried away by the ranking and put our kid there...But learnt a lesson that all that glitters is not gold...

20Miya 2018-11-09 12:34:54

Agreed to Dear Pagiru total change in attitude

15hanu 2018-11-13 20:32:23

Hi, Could you please detail as to what all you're not satisfied with. Will be helpful for other parents.

15hanu 2018-11-16 10:27:52

Got to speak to couple of parents whose kids are at TIPS. They say it is homeroom teacher concept for kids from nursery to fifth std which means a single teacher takes care of all the subjects for that particular class. So looks like those teachers will not have any free periods like how it is in cbse/matric schools. And so they'll not have time to meet parents and address their queries. However looks like one can book appointment on Wednesdays to meet teachers after school hours. Apart from this, usually there are two PTM's conducted every term for nursery classes and for higher classes it is one PTM and one SLC per term. Those parents say that their kids don't have any issues with the transport nor the breakfast provided at school. And as far as they know, they don't get to hear teachers beating up students. Not sure how it is overall.
