I am also looking for similar schools that offer French. Any specific location you prefer?
In OMR belt Hindustan international offers french
Yes @machina, but this is the campus at Karapakkam. The one at Padur does not offer French, I just enquired last week.
I trying to find out if Karapakkam campus is good in terms of quality of teaching, staff qualification, etc. Does anyone have view on this?
I visited their campus, you need to take smaller roads from OMR to reach them; it was peaceful with good space around the school;
I think this is their first 10th batch taking exam; there are only 600 odd children (G+2 building)
They asked for one time fee of around 90 K which was a major turn off. I dont have any inputs on their quality of teaching.
(Saw couple of students who was interacting in a very cordial manner with the staff )
Thanks for your inputs. Much appreciated. 90K is too much, this is what they call as Admission fees I guess? Do you stay nearby? Are your children studying there? This is the first batch for 10th is news to me - that is why I cannot find any results from that school. As school offers till 12th grade - is this also the first batch for 12th? Karapakkam Campus started in 2015 if am not wrong.
I heard the locality is good and security wise is also good due to ladies hostel near by.
If teaching staff are well qualified, then I plan to put my children here - as this is the only school I can think of that offer french.
No I am as well looking to move to OMR area. I have no details on the staff. Think they conducted open house last week; You could check with them with regards to results etc
Did they ask for 90k as one time fee? I visited their campus last month. I beleive 90k is term fee for 3rd grade including books, uniforms & stationaries and 60k as one time fee aka admission fee.
I guess you are right @srk2381. 90k must be the term fees (entire year for 3 terms) that includes - books, uniforms, shoes, bag, stationaries + fees for extra curricular activites (that is mandate) and one time fees/admission fees cannot be this much high.
one time fees/admission fees must be 60k...
For which grade are you planning to admit your children? I am seeking admission for Grade 2 and Grade 8.
How was the campus @srk2381 when you visited?
@machina Thanks I intend to ask regarding the quality/qualifications of teaching staff + results
reg Karapakkam HIS, I got the information that this is the school's 3rd batch passing out for Grade 10 and first batch for Grade 12.
Last 3 years Grade 8 results are good with all 100% pass results and students obtainly above 80% marks.
Teachers are well qualified and no academic pressure. children have extra curricular every day 2.30 to 3.30 after academic sessions are over by 2.30 so they can ease their tension/cheer up before leaving home.
Fees was increased in last 2 years, and there will not be hike in fees for next 2-3 years - as they usually increase fees every 5 years (not sure how much is true but this is what I was told).
sorry typo - it must be Grade 10* stated with 100% pass !
@priyagop I am seeking admission for Grade 3. School infra seems to be good as it is inside a college campus but my concern is as @machina mentioned, we need to take a narrow road and I feel the roads are not good and unsafe.
Thanks for your inputs @srk2381. As long as the school bus is able to pass through - I feel it is Ok. IMHO you cannot expect broad roads everywhere in Chennai! Morever the area is surrounded by residential + ladies hostel - so if you ask me - if the neighbourhood is Ok, am fine with it too...
I am running short of options to find a good CBSE school with affordable fees (that too offering French as 2nd lang). So far HIS is the only option I am able to zero in. If you or anyone have better schools to consider - then please let me know.
