Hi Chennai 911! noticed u haven't got any feedback on ur query...&... I was looking for the same now.......pity:(
My child has been studying at Chettinad Sarvalokaa for a year now. We are happy with the school. The staff there is very supportive. So far so good.
We are considering the school for my D who will be going to year 1. Thank you much for your feedback.
MN1003 & Chennai911,
What are the learning programs you are looking for...there are several International schools on OMR, though there is not much of clarity on what is International except for one school called International Village School.
I have been researching this for a while for my children now and am just wondering. I have examined IB program and UK Cambridge program...there are several differences I found between them and between international curriculum and CBSE which is what I have been used too.
These are the schools I have visited
Gateway - Nothing international about it
Hindustan - CBSE but is called international, average
International Village School - serious about what they are offering, good campus, good team. New school
Aksharbol - Average school,,overly secretive about what they are offering. But is new here.
Hirandani - presently in a state of collapse
APL - Established, above average in terms of quality and it has become a mass market school.
Is the grades till 5 or more ???? kindly reply
planning to visit the school this weekend
Sorry, missed your reply.
Yes, I am in complete sync with what you just mentioned.
We too had visited each one of them (excluding IVS) and feel exactly the same.
We spent some serious time in meeting the faculty (apart from the Education Counselor) in each one of this school.
Only additional thing I could add here is, we are a bit apprehensive about immediate acceptance level of IVS in Chennai (outgoing expat principal.of Sarvolokaa had some thoughts similar to what IVS is propagating in a more structured manner). Wish them best.
Regarding Sarvolokaa, they had left their IB accreditation, which was an important requirement for us earlier when I posted the last msg (they are with IGCSE now, possibly CIE).
We got our daughter moved from IB to IGCSE once we relocated to Chennai. As Chettinad started with IB, we thought we could move her back to IB while simultaneously moving to Sholls.
But, had changed our mind as decided to continue with our daughter's existing school (an IGCSE-CIE school) and not moving to Sholls either!
Thank you constantparent.
Hope you had finalized a school for your daughter.
Wish her the best...
how did your visit go?
Chettinad school has moved to IG curriculum. From this year they are offering upto Gr 6. have few neighbours whose kids are studying there.
Very good infra, Kids seem to enjoy the school and parents are also very happy about the school and their kid's progress. The staff are very supportive and cordial.
could you share the tuition fee and other fee details.
