Experiential Learning schools in Chennai

Disclaimer: I was not sure what to name this topic as. Just to explain... I'm talking about the schools which goes beyond books and teach kids through activities, projects, experiments.
My daughter is in nursery this year. I'm in the process of finding schools which would meet these expectations. In that sense, I've listed the below schools. If any of you have have any first-hand experience with the below school(s), please share your thoughts. If you know if any school that I should look at, please advise.

The topic / subject line caught my interest. I evaluated several schools from this perspective couple of years back and found a school called Babaji Vidhyashram in Sholinganallur. Both my kids study there now. It may be worthwhile investigating. The only negative is they are the only school on OMR where you cannot get admission if you are not well planned, in line with their philosophy and well planned ahead of time.

I seriously evaluated The school. Jiddu Krishnamurt's philosophies are very different....for ex., mixed age classrooms, in one classroom you could potentially have children from grade 3,4 & 5.

Are they (babajividhyashram) considering location as factor in admission , since we are staying around 10 to 12 Kms from school . I am looking for LKG admission 2018-19 . when will be right time to contact the school . I am planning to visit the school this month Please guide me

When I applied, location was definitely a major criteria that they considered. Last year I hear they got more than 1100 applications for 200 seats and they gave admission mainly to people who lived close by the school. Very refreshing approach in this day and age.

Thanks papabear . when i went through their website it is like just visit the school anytime and apply ... For 2018-19 when is the right time to visit and apply . Can you please guide me . I am also ready to change my home if my daughter gets admission here . will they accept seat if we are ready to change the home near by

Many parents gave such a declaration, that was accepted by the school and subsequently parents planned and shifted nearby the school. They had a clean, organized method of application and distance from school was one of those.

I think you can explore CASCADE Family Learning Society in Besant Nagar, My daughter has been going there for the last 3 years. They follow Montessori Methodology and prepare the children in open/extended home schooling manner. You can check out www.cascadefls.org. If you are looking for a temporary play school then this might not be the place. They have complete infrastructure from 3+ to the stage they are able to write open schooling at 14+.
