Hello all, I need your help in choosing the best cbsc school around chrompet for my son to join lkg n I wanted him to give a good platform to start with. Amount the 2 schools NSN cbsc and Vivekananda cbsc school which one is the best, can anyone suggest, plz reply me if anyone is aware of. Thank you.
Both are good only. While comparing NSN is good
Thank you Anusha mam..
There is no prekg in nsn cbse, but there is prekg in nsn matriculation. Should I have to reserve the seat for lkg in nsn cbse by joining prekg in matric or I can put him directly for lkg in nsn CBSE. Is there any recommendations is needed for nsn cbse as in Vivekananda.. any comments Anusha mam.. I'm waiting for ur reply..
Just check for the quality of students. You can see that Vivekananda is abysmally low. Very very average....if you happen to speak to any teacher in Vivekananda you will come to know.....Getting Marks in exams is one thing, but if you are looking at the whole picture in terms of personality development and higher order thinking skills..which is the need of the day....then both of these schools are nowhere in the picture...... I would suggest to interact with a few teachers, parents and even students to understand what I say......Rote learning will never help......all the best
Omg, in n around chrompet as far as I know, I thought these 2 schools are best, kindly suggest me if there is any other good CBSE school who is concentrating on personality development.. scoring marks is not a matter but only kids should get a good communication skill as you said..
Thanx for your reply anu mam..☺
Since you asked about nsn and vivekananda I told nsn is good. Only in matric prekg is available. You have to change next year while talking about nsn. Ssm is really good it's in chrompet but it's montessori type upto second and admission is over for jm1. You can try budding minds it's in hastinapuram. Sorry for delayed reply
Budding minds is not CBSE......I think it is IGCSE . Moreover the fees is astonishingly high......like more than 1 lakh....not worth it.....infra is also very average.....
check out Alpha and Olive....... both have good feedback
Hello probcert sir,
Do you have any idea about GGN International - Chromepet for Pre.k.g. It seems the infrastructure is okay and student-teacher ratio also.
I am staying in Pozhichalur and tired for Omega and SSM. But we are not able to get because of age criteria in Omega and didn't aware of of admission opening in SSM-Chromepet and don't want to shift or travel my kid to SSM - Perungaluthur.
Kindly advise if you are aware of any schools also.
Raghav Sir......I know that GGN Chrompet, used to be a matriculation school that was run in a place where there was a leather factory .....though I haven't been there inside. They have recently switched over to IGCSE. Haven't heard anything big about the school nor anything negative..... just a word of caution.....if it's the same management that ran the matriculation school then there is every chance that they may follow the rote learning (samacheer)methodology even for IGCSE(Cambridge) , this may prove to be a disaster as the teaching methodology vastly differs...... once again it's the vision and background of the management combined with the skill set of the staff they recruit which determines the quality of the school......!!!
Hi Probcert Sir, I am really grateful to you. It has certainly helped me to get the list of questions to be clarified before joining this school.
They said they are going to follow xseed till ukg. Do you have any idea on that.
Where is your son/daughter studying and are you satisfied with that school. What are the best schools available accordingly to you in and around Chromepet.
I am also started thinking about moving close to my office (Perungudi) if I am not getting good schools nearby.
Raghav sir.......my son goes to St. Michaels in Adyar, and my daughter in Olive Public School in Chitlapakkam.( near Chromepet). I don't see a big difference between these two schools. I chose Olive because they are a Exseed certified school , CBSE , and fees is on a average 50 K per annum, excluding transport and uniform which I feel is very reasonable. So far no regrets .The infra is also pretty good.....atleast they have a playground with a separate sports curriculum integrated ..... all the best...
Does olive give importance to english communication?
Jerry sir..... yes they have a separate Phonics program integrated into the syllabus..... I heard that every teacher in the school needs to participate and clear the phonics training that is implemented by Jolly phonics of UK...
As far as the children , I see that most of them are coming from an above middle class background where the parents themselves ensure that they speak in decent English ..... but I feel that still there is scope for improvement.....
From the school side.... I see they have implemented the British Council Program for schools...... my daughter in 4std made a project presentation in English...... which some good things in the right direction.......... but still, as I said earlier, ...there is scope for improvement!!
Thnku fr d reply...searchn fr sm gud schools in tambaram or chromept..
