I wanted to provide an update in this thread. I am delighted to share that my son has finally received admission for LKG at KFI Chennai, after being on the waitlist for a month. We are overjoyed to be a part of the KFI ecosystem. It has been a week since he started school, and we are already experiencing a sense of happiness and anticipation as we prepare to face the challenges ahead. To all the parents who are may face the waitlist or may find themselves in a similar situation in the future, I encourage you to stay positive and persistent.

Hi, To all the parents of KFI, kindly share the school timings (LKG and upwards), are their buses plying or how do you get your kids to school ? And also any information on their lunch routine please
School timing is from 07:30 AM to 02:40 PM from LKG to 12th. School provides a healthy food as far as we have experienced. Breakfast at 08:00 AM, Lunch around 11:30 AM.
Fee is around Rs.2,00,000 per annum. This includes tuition fees, food and transport. This is for junior classes. Not sure about the fees for senior classes. There is a refundable deposit of 1 lakh that has to be paid along with that.
For new admissions, full payment of 3 lakhs should be done.

Hi Matpri. The School is pretty good. However, the competition is heavy. If you are looking out for alternatives, Tatva School Polachery is a wonderful and excellent alternative (acc to me I would place Tatva on top of KFI). My 4 Yr old daughter is currently studying there and they have adopted Waldorf principles (basically Anthroposophy). Not trying to poach but suggesting alternate options.

Hello! We have been informed that our child is over the age limit for LKG and is eligible for admission to UKG. However, admissions to UKG happen against withdrawals. Any views on withdrawals from The School - KFI. Wondering what should be our approach. Any guidance/recommendations will be helpful.

Hi, We have been informed that our application for LKG is not considered. Our child is 1 month shortage for UKG admission this year. We already waited last year and applied this year for LKG. Could someone throw some insight on possible reasons for application not considered?

Is the application being rejected based on our answers in the application form ?
They could have provided proper reason rather than stating the number of applications as a reason.

To those seeking answers to why their applications for admission were rejected: 1. It is a single section school. Class size is small. 2. Priority applicants are: younger siblings of existing students, children of the staff, transfer students from other KFI schools (may not apply for LKG though), alumni children. These do take up significant number in any year. Besides they look at factors such as religion, a healthy girls-boys ratio in the class and many other criteria. In short, pot luck. You may have a doctorate on JK's philosophy but not get admission and someone who hasn't heard of JK might get admission. What you say in the application form has only limited validity. It helps them eliminate rather than select.
Hello Ram, we were planning to apply in HLC first as admission starts from Dec 01.We will consider Good Earth and Tatva also. Hope will get admission in any one of them this year.
