- looks sri chaitanya techno school started many branches in chennai. any idea on this ? particularly mylapore.
Even I'm looking for admission there for std 6. Need inputs as well
I visited the school in Mandaveli this afternoon . Old Sun Tv office is being remodelled .It is next to St Johns Mandaveli and first cutting on Norton road . Classes from pre LKG to Viii std this year - I was told .
First question I asked them was whether the building will be ready by June and they are optimistic . Fees seems moderate . Building fund they ask Rs 50000 per child and were willing to reduce if we go in for admission right now . Full year fee for KG is around 57000 payable in three instalments .
They are opening five schools in chennai and the fee structure etc may be same .
Chaitanya is renowned in Andhra and they are planning to go in for High Tech schools in Chennai .
cons :- Building not ready , I could not see play ground . Only upto VIii std . If they expand where will they go for higher classes. Will the children have to relocate for higher classes - no clear answer .
No day care for kids .
But admissions going on in full swing .
I have visited Chaitanya school and posted my impression
Thanks....but we are looking for schools that give equal importance to Co curricular activities. Right now my daughter is with state board n with lots of sports n other activities. I'm afraid CBSE schools will dump academics on the students. Looking out for ICSE n IGCSE also parallelly.
I have blocked seats for my kids but am highly skeptical too since there are no clear answers to some concerns. the affiliation too has not been confirmed as per the cbse website. also the techno curriculum shd not turn out to be a burden to the kids. the lack of a playground is a safety concern considering that the kids need to taken to a near by playground. no ideas shared on this one. infrastructure a huge question mark, but as you pointed out, they are positive on completion on time.
i also visited the Pallavaram branch today seeking admission for my nephew into 6 th standard.
anyone else who are considering Pallavaram branch and can share any details?
Had a long list of doubts like any other concerned parent since they are new to chennai. spoke to a couple of parents in blore who are happy with the school. met the coordinator at the mylapore branch who comes across as a very dependable and warm human being
1. as far as classes go, the cbse rules do not permit beyond 8th for new schools. affiliation provided based on functioning of the school.
2. the coordinator assures that the school would grow organically year on year
3. yes, there is no school ground but they are coming up with a basket ball court and badminton court in the premises.
4. the techno curriculum has material from state/cbse/ icse boards which is handled parallely. objective evaluation once a month.
Totally marketing only..... But school & teacher quality?????????
please don't choose this chaitanya and narayana type of schools, these guys are from Andhra just doing business here in the name of school, they are just marketising using the name IIT coaching,etechno , olymipaid bla bla bla..they don't have ground,no cocurricular activities..these schools just like old tutorial college...I saw kids are climbing 3 floors to get their classes, parking area is used as small play area near they have parking their vehicles...totally rubbish
No schools will get affiliation if this does not meet the CBSE board regulations, these schools have problem in getting affilation because they are violating a lot, even last year they have problem in Andhra too..
for my kid admission I have visited these schools and enquired a lot and decided not to..
I've blocked seat for my daughter into UKG , pallavaram brach.
My sister's kids are going to this school in AP and it is doing very good. Kids are showing improvement in all areas.
Going by the reviews, its a mixed response. A reality check about the current school my children attend, there is not a discouraging post or review about the issues parents and children face head on , everyday. So taking the reviews of present parents of the school in bangalore, across various standards, is encouraging as you have mentioned.
Today i went to OMR brach and checked for Kids 3rd grade admission
My inputs :-
Fees : Nominal (57K - Total Acadamic year fee, Uniform and books fee will come around 5- 10K)
Admission Fee : 20K (Actual 40K after concession it comes to 20K)
Syllabus : CBSC ( From 6th Grade they will introduce Techno ciriculam also in added basis)
School timings : 1st grade to 5 th grade - 8.15 AM to 3.30 PM
After that : 8.15 AM to 4.30 PM
Per class : 30 Kids
Play Ground : yes as above said a reasonable play area is there in OMR brach
Land Mark : Opposite to YMCA Ground (Walkable from SRP Tools Velachery)
1. Affiliation is my concern
2.how their education system will be
Yes, they have started 4 branches.I made a block UKG seat for my Kid @ OMR. It is under Sree Murugan Educational Trust
I have blocked the seat for 1st standard for my daughter at Mandaveli branch based on the recommendation given by my friend, whose daughter is studying in bangalore. Chaitanya is doing good in Andra and bangalore
I agree with madhu17......just happened to visit the school and would like to share the link below about Chaitanya who are known to run the school without even recognition. Even I am sure they will not get the government recognition for Pallavaram which is a HOSPITAL building taken over from DEEPAM HOSPITALS........The school building regulations cannot suit the design of a Hospital and am sure they will not get the recognition......so be careful and think twice before putting your child in CHAITANYA Pallavaram........I am not sure about the other branches......http://www.thehindu.com/news/cities/Hyderabad/parents-fume-as-schools-closure-drive-goes-on/article3...
Is you kid going to Pallavaram branch. how is the infrastructure and education system? Are you satisfied with what they provide? Am planning to put my kid next year. please suggest.
My kid is studying 1st std in Sri Chaitanya techno school, pallavaram branch. As far now I didn't encountered any problems. But I m very much concerned about one thing only. Will they get affiliation. As per 8th standard. They can accommodate with the infrastructure they have. But if they go for 9th - 12th, I don't know what they are planning.
Teaching side no problem and study material also fine. Extra curricular activities they have music, dance and karate. On Saturday they have no book day they only have competitions, extra curricular activities, and club activities( ecology club, sports club) like 4 clubs they have.
Fees is high comparing to the schools around our area. Every body is collecting the same amount.
But as it the school is new they have to improve in some issues like issuing of uniform and books. As they took long time. Hope next year they make it all ready before academy starts
you are 100% correct.sir......they are business minded people opening branches in every nook and corner....the worst part is that the teachers dont know the basics of English.....dont provide quality education....giving pressure to the kids....these people dont know how to run a school...parents please enquire with atleast 10 parents who have already admitted their kids in that school...corporation schools are far better than this narayana school....
we blocked a seat for my son who is entering 1st standard,plz let me know the quality of education in this school
school location (noombal, ayyappanthangal)
MY KID HAS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED 3RD GRADE IN SCTS (MYLAPORE). I WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE TEACHERS AND THE PRINCIPAL FOR CONTINUOUS SUPPORT AND DEDICATION. BEING THE VERY FIRST YEAR IN CHENNAI FOR SCTS, THEY HAVE MADE THEIR VERY BEST!
* METHODOLOGIES OF TEACHING!
* WAY OF APPROACHING!
* EXTRA CURRICULAR!
AS A PARENT, I WILL REMAIN GRATEFUL AND SUPPORTIVE TO SCTS.
Please avoid the pallavaram branch..... rest of the branches no idea
Did ur son started going to chaitanya school, noombal ? Hws school? I can see parents say it is not accredited to CBSE which is mandatory for all CBSE schools from July 2017.
