Please could somebody provide me reviews about this school?
hi aishuin. its a great school. i did my eleventh and twelfth there.nice atmosphere.awesome teachers
I am an alumnus of this school.
1.The school is really good in academics and co-curricular activities.
2.Teachers are really experienced so coaching is really good.
3. The kids have a good atmosphere to learn as the teachers are very friendly and linient.
4. Management is very straight-forward. No real hassle. I believe fees is also nominal I am not completely sure about it.
5. Importance is given to Hindu cultural values. Sholkas are chanted in prayer. Gita sholkas are taught as part of the curriculum.
1.Extra-curricular activities will be there but there is nothing that we can go gaga about.
2. Individual attention will not be given to students so parents must put effort to check where the child stands.
3. This is a normal CBSE school which follows traditional teaching methodology.
Overall, really good school to put the kid in.
Please feel free to ask more questions if you have and I will try to answer you.
hi 123v which batch are you?
@rkalpana66 what about extra curricular activities?
@123v thanks for the inputs. What about extracurricular activities?
the view of 123v is true. dont worry about extra curricular activities as this you can arrange your self by the money saved from the fees compared other schools. Many of the big schools extra curricular activities are kept to keep parents pose about them.
Thanks for all your views. I am rounding off on this school as it is close to where i reside :) . Next year shall try admission for my daughter:)
Extra curricular activities are very minimal and that is a drawback. As caldera said you should try and involve her in some activities outside of school.
I was told by my friends who are still in nanganallur that the admission in this school is getting really competitive. I wish you all the best in all your efforts. Do let me know if I could be of any help.
when i studied all kids were given equal oppotunities to participate in all cultural and sports eveny. i even got opportunities to represent school at various platforms like other school or sabhas or even tv. the teachers give full support to kids to pursue their interest
i finished my twelfth in 2000
I totally agree with rkalpana66. What I meant was school will not expose the children to multiple extra curricular activities like swimming, skating, badminton, tennis, cricket, etc. They have the regular P.T session where your children may run, or play with a throw ball or play kho kho. Then they have a conventional sports day where events like running, long jump, high jump, shot put, throw ball, etc might be conducted and prizes may be awarded. In indoor games they use to have carrom, chess and T T for which you have to fight. I am a state level athlete and state level carrom player. The school encouraged me to participate in various events and tournamanents for which I trained myself outside of school. They fully supported me to pursue my interest as well. My only pain point was I had to devote time outside of school hours and find resources outside of school to coach me. So definitely any day you cannot expect good extra curricular activities from this school as it is not their strength. Despite that many good musicians, sports person are alumni pf this school purely because of their support and encouragement. Any given day co-curricular activities, importance to cultural and moral values and academics is their real strength. Your kid will learn to be simple, humble and good human being in the society. I assure this. And in nanganallur area, Its THE BEST school. There is never a doubt about that.
rkalpana66: I think the gap of 4 years might not have let us meet or interact with each other :-(
Aishu, where do you stay? Because I saw you active in PSBB. My sister in law's son and all my relatives kids are studying in Modern. As far as I've heard, it is a very good school academics wise. It doesn't have that many extra curricular activities and school infrastructure is also not that great. teachers are all well experiences.
@archana1908 i stay in balaji nagar and my sister`s house is in KK nagar so i applied for PSBB hoping the fact that i would get a seat and shift my residence near to the school if she gets a seat:(. This year for UKG they have received 700 applications . I don`t know what to do for next year :( Any kind of recommendation mighr help to get a seat. Could somebody help ?
How about ravindra bharathi global school? Any idea?
I came to know from one of my friends that this school is not up to the mark. Seems like the smart-class method of teaching has proved to be a failure. Interaction of kids with teachers is missing. Teachers are not maintaining any standard and students are not gaining real value out of this way of teaching. I also came to know that fees is on a higher side. I am just sharing one of my friends' experience. I don't have any personal feedback about this school.
Thanks for all your feedback .
: If your permanent residence is in madipakkam, I suggest you try in and around madipakkam because these days address proof and distance between school and house is also proving to be a crucial factor.
I saw you said you are an alumnus of DAV girls Mogappair and your mother also worked there. If you can shift to Mogappair, I think that will the best option for you. You can shift few months before the LKG admissions start and apply for it as the probability of you getting in this school is high and your hunt for good school will also end there.
Please don't take it otherwise. I was just trying to help you.
I have seen you trying very hard to put your daughter in some good school and given the situation it's really hard everywhere with lot of constraints.
Let me know if you need any help from me.
@123v i agree that i can put my daughter in DAV girls mogappair. But the personal constraint that i have is i am working and i need to change my address starting from ration card to passport which is bid tedious task to do these days. I have only fewer good schools to try in and around madipakkam they being
SAN academy- again the distance matters
I have also heard KFI-the school is shifting their location to velachery might as well as try over there for 1st standard .Since they have admission starting from 1st standard.
Hmm. I agree with you.. School hunting is not easy at all. As a common person we can just dream of having our kid study in a A class school. These days with recommendation, donation and quota KG admission is no less than IAS. If we manage to succeed, it's no less than a huge lifetime achievement!!
I wish you all the best and I am sure with such a hardcore dedicated mom you are your daughter will definitely go places with all your care and support for her.
@123v it is also becoming tough to get admission in Modern school . This year around there were 700 applications and so you can see he trend for urself .. Modern school came first in sankaracharya competition defeating PSBB school as well
Modern school in undoubtedly the best school. As I mentioned in my previous few posts... But the only drawback with that school is extra-curricular activities.
is KFI currently located in Besant Nagar?
Yes but the land lease is getting over so they are shifting near velachery not sure of the location though:(
Ohhh I see. I have heard of this school. My relatives staying in besant nagar had put their kids in this school and I have heard real good feedback about the school. I have also seen those kids being very good in terms of their personality and IQ. I wonder what will they do if this school is relocated to besant nagar. Not to discourage you, I also heard from them that admission in this school is very very limited and it's admission criteria is a black-box. So , I suggest you to do your background home-work (I hope you know what I mean) and be well prepared when the admission opens for this school.
Well let me give it a try:( . In case if they shift to velachery i will pretty well shift my residence to velachery near to the school .
