ADMISSIONS FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2014 - 2015
The Pre - application forms for Pre-KG admission into BVM kids for the
academic year 2014 - 2015 will be issued free of cost only on Wednesday,
the 5th of March 2014 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. in the school office.
Eligibility age: Date of Birth â€" from 01.04.2011 to 31.03.2012.
Filled in Pre â€" application forms will be received from Thursday, the 6th of March 2014 to Thursday the 13th of March 2014 [9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m]
List of selected students will be displayed on the Bala Vidya Mandir notice board on Monday the 17th March 2014.
Siblings and children of teachers will be given preference.
All Pre-application with all the details asked for, received before the stipulated last date will carry equal weightage.
Residence of the child should be within 5 kms. from the school.
Area-wise lots will be drawn to determine the admission.
My son is in class 6 and i am looking for his admission in 7th in BVM.any info for this grade admission pls pass

ADMISSION TO CLASS II
- Parents can collect the Pre Application form (free of cost) only on Friday, the7th March 2014 between 9.00 a.m and 3.00 p.m.
- Filled in Pre Application form will be received from Monday, the 10th March 2014 to Thursday, the 13th March 2014.
- Entrance examination for the candidates who have registered for class 2 will be held on Saturday, the 15th March 2014 at 9.00 a.m.
- Results will be displayed on school notice board on Thursday ,the 20th March 2014.
THERE IS NO VACANCY AVAILABLE FOR CLASS 1 & CLASSES 3 to 10

I am planning to put my son in bvm adayar.after all searches I narrowed down to bvm.need a feedback about the school.both pros n cons.it greatly helps parents going to get the appln next week.

B.V.M Adyar is best choice they focus on overall development of the kids growth.
They focus on academics equally Extra-Curricular activities.
Teachers are well trained.
But it's very difficult to secure a seat there.
I would say if you get seat really you are lucky.

thanku for ur reply.can u tel me on wat criteria they select candidates.tomorrow they r issuing application n I find no discussions on this school.do we need to stand in queue fom night,I need to relocate from my own home from velachery if I get a seat there.please clarify

The school says they select using lot systems.
Out of 90 seats may be they fill 10 like that remaining will go in sibling, alumini, recommendation.
No need to stand in queue night, last year we stood in night but later on my friend came morning and got the application in an hour.
I saw in school so many kids travel from velachery so distance in selection criteria won't be an issue for you.

I tried last year for Pre-KG but didn't secure a seat :-(
But my cousin and there kids studying there so academics and communication skill is very good.
Kid will talk to a larger crowd also without any fear.

My distance is 8 KM (kodambakkam to BVM adayar).
So, whether still whther i can submit the pre-kg application ? (Just to give a try)

I placed her in pre-school Apple Kids.
This year again I am in process of searching. :(
Fees is 1.5 Lak(Non-refundable)
They will say 5KM, but they won't check it while submitting,you can give a try not an issue.

shall I leave st.johns n try for bvm?they r asking address proof to chk within 5km.bvm is the last option I got.hmmm...confused.

Better don't leave the opportunity you attend St.John and ask date for paying the fees till March 18 to get the result of BVM.
Really I had personal experience last year had great hope of getting a seat but last minute i was totally disappointed.
St.John is also good school my cousin worked there as a teacher but main drawback teachers changes frequently that's a big drawback.
I didn't apply for AVM. Heard AVM is coming up similar to BVM now.

I too got admission for CPS and skipped it. Fees 1.07 L
I reside in kodambakkam too and got BVB PRE application.. They might reject based on .Address proof.. We will just give it a try...

Please clarify:
the letter from st.johns says that my ward is provisionally selected(wat they mean by provisional selection?)
34,000 has to be paid in the scheduled day itself.(it was in bold letters) .its compulsory.
the date is on 10th march.bvm result 17th march.
i have a doubt how when all the schools in chennai ask in lacs n only those school ask only 34000.
how this bargain is done?during interview?

AVM is Gud the.the mother needs to be with the ward for the first 1 month.the transition for the child is made easy.

There is no interview in BVM. If you kid name in selected list you need to go and pay the fees that's it.
Regarding chetinad harishree vidyashram i heard from my friend it's 3Lac/2Lac around that. So I didn't opt for it.

If i am getting admission for both my kids in BVM, will i have to pay donation twice?? :(

Getting admission in BVM is very tough,they charge 1.5 lakhs as donation but St.John's does not charge any donation,whatever fees they mention in call letter u have to pay on the interview date itself.
Last year i took admission in st;john's paid 32,000 for LKG,after a week i got the seat in Sankara,adyar,so i put my kid there,but St.john's refused to pay the money back.
so decide which school ur going to put in and then pay otherwise u will suffer like us,none of the schools pay back.

1.50 Lac they mention as fees so if you are admitting two kids then also you have pay for each of them the same amount.
