Usuage:He is a down to earth person :)
if someone is with big nose then it means they are excessively interested in everyone else's business.

PLAY OUT OF YOUR SKIN:
If someone plays out of their skin, they give outstanding performance.
Example: Recently, Serena Williams played out of her skin defeating the tennis beauty queen, Maria Sharapova.
Idiom for today:
A mealy mouthed person doesn't say what they mean clearly.
Example: The applicant was mealy mouthed when the interviewer shooted out a good query to him.
ARM AND A LEG:
If something costs an arm and a leg, it is very expensive.
Example: My daughter's uniform costs an arm and a leg. I was chaotic seeing the bill.
Definition: If a person is thick-skinned, he/she is not affected by criticism.
Example: Film stars should be thick-shinned to survive in cine field.

meaning:looks new and you do not have any idea on it
Usuage:Please stop speaking in German,it looks greek and latin for me.

meaning:divulging from the main topic and speaking on all the unwanted things
usuage:Please stop beating around the bush.I am already running out of time.

Someone who has money but never puts his hands in his pocket to pay for anything has deep pocket but short arms.
Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook has deep pocket but short arms. Being a big shot, he didn't even dropped tips to a busser after his honeymoon lunch.
LITTLE PITCHERS HAVE BIG EARS:
This means that children hear more and understand the world around them better than the adults realize.
Example: We should be really proud of our kids because these little pitchers have big ears.
Cry over spilt milk"
meaning:Thinking of something that happened in the past and feel for the same.
usuage:Please do not cry over spilt milk.It is going to help you anymore.
A COCK AND A BULL STORY:
A story or explanation that is obviously not true.
Example: I usually used to say pretty much cock and bull story to my kid during her lunch time to make her eat.
Ever cloud has a silver lining
meaning:being optimistic even in tough situation
usuage:Every clod has a silver lining and so please don't think negative.
sorry for the typo in my previous idiom it should be "Every cloud"
Like father like son
meaning:pretty much resembling the parent's behaviour
usuage:Like father like son and so he behaves pretty much same like his parents :)
HEART OF STEEL:
When someone has heart of steel, they are emotionally unaffected or they do not show emotions.
Example: Most men have heart of steel. They don't break down easily.
ON THE NOSE:
right on time.
I went to the interview on the nose. So I was bit relaxed.

usuage:He committed a crime and he was scott free...

meaning:making one to remember the past
Usuage:We already discussed about the proposal the other day...did it ring a bell?
WARM THE COCKLES OF YOUR HEART:
If something warms the cockles of your heart, it makes you very happy.
Example: When I saw my hubby after his one week trip, the feeling I got warmed the cockles of my heart.

Definition: If you are swept off your feet, you lose control emotionally when you fall in love or really impressed.

Example: Unpretentious people should be lip serviced.

Definition: This means that people with serious responsibilities have a heavy burden.
Example: At present, Uttarkhand CM would be much perplexed because uneasy lies the head that wears the crown.
if you have sweet tooth, you like eating food with sugar in it.
Example: usually children are sweet toothed.
PULL SOMEONE'S LEG:
Definition: If you pull someone's leg, you tease them but not maliciously.
Example: A friend of mine was a cool person. We used to pull her leg but she never took those to her heart.
