do they have any AGE criteria.. I got to know that for 1st standard the kid should have completed 6years as on 30th of Sept 2013.. my son has a short fall of 4 days... do they have any criteria with regards to Distance.. I stay in Nandanam..

Age criteria is very strict in all leading best schools for all standards.. i thnk 4 days also they wil not take. Whn comes to the distance .. yes it is one of the criteria but if the parents are highly earning .. then tat criteria is not tat priority :)

Hi even my kid is falling short by 2 months for 2nd std.

NPS refuses to admit in 2nd. But there are other CBSE schools who are ready to relax this criteria. 

I am now confused as to what to do. Should I make my kid repeat 1std or opt for other schools which relax this criteria.

Any suggestion? 

 @Unnikannan, Did NPS ask you to submit IT proof? So did you submit your payslip or form16 ??

I stay in Vadapalani. We got admission in NPS for LKG for our son. We are also thinking on how do we go with the transportation.

Can any one pls let me know if you are from this area? The Private travels number that is given to us by the school (Security) says that we needs minimum 10 students from this route. (Route covers Vadapalani, T-Nagar Brindhavan Street)

We also got Admission in CV Virugambakkam. Now we are confused in which school to go forward with. Can anyone pls. share your views about both the schools.

we do stay in Vadapalani. Have u decided which school. Pls let me know your decision. We applied in CV virugambakkam. But, didn't get selected. For NPS, we didn't try considering distance. Please let me know ur decision so that i can make use of that seat. Pls help....we are very much worried as we didn't get in any of the schools we applied for LKG admission for my son. Got a call from NPS asking to pay material cost by Apr 2-4 th for MONT-1. FYI - incase you have not received the call.

 mini4 : for nps age criteria is 3.5 yrs completion by march for lkg. for mont-1, it is 2.5 yrs completion by march.

Today, i've gone to school to pay the stationary fee.. School gonna start by june5th :) they have given me DO's and DONT's .. its challenging :) for my kid .. few points...

am excited to see her in the school and waiting to meet our parentree frnds as well :)

My son has got in lkg in nps,but havent got any call regarding stationary or introduction from the school yet,wondering why?

any idea anyone?

also we will also need transportatin ,we live in T nagar-Arulambal street,do include us for any van passing by our area.

Hi anuat ..

This parents oreientation program is meant for montessori as it s a kinda seperate entity in the school and it has its own rules and regualtions.Few parents were not aware of what is montessori type of teaching for tat they have arranged this oreientation where they wil tell abt mont. Whn comes to KG it s not so specific abt the KG and i thnk you wil also be informed abt the school timings and open date as well.

Perhaps thats why you dint receive any calls like montessori.I am not sure about the van since i am goin to take my own transport to drop my kid. If  the school is having bus then its gud they dont have transportation n all we have to arrange on ourselves. school is opening by june 5th.

Thanks for the info,will wait for the call though,yes if i dont get a proper and safe mode of transportation,I will also do it myself,lets see.

school doesnt have thier own bus service,let see how the private ones are,will go one day and find out.

How are you all planning for the transportation?

Parents from Vadapalani, Kodambakkam pls write to me with your contact number - bhuvicl@gmail.com.  I will call you so that we shall decide on this. Transportation is very critical for us as our kids are too young to travel that longer distance and the school doesnot have owned bus service. We need to rely on the private travels.

It is black color. Try to get the shoe just few weeks or days b4 the school reopens - kids shoe size tend to increase quickly

 doesn't NPS have KM radius restriction for admission? I am seeing ppl from all over chennai got admission in NPS

No Idea ... I don't think so they have that option ... Even my daughter didn't get admission and we are staying 500 mts from the school premises ...

Anyways she got @ DAV Gops and Sacred heart ...

Anyways NPS was not my preferred choice from the begining ....
