Sorry i didnt get to c ur posts on time! how did the interview go? 

Interview was short, asked why montessori, why abacus, child's daily schedule etc. Haven't heard anything after that.

Have any of you heard back after the interview? How did it go for you?

 Yeah, similar questions for us too. We too havent heard after that. Keeping the fingers crossed for the result.

Yes, we too attended the interview and waiting for the result. Questions were similar as above.

My kid is 2 yrs old. Can i go and get the enquiry form for his June 2014 admission

 Yes, you can definitely submit the enquiry form now.

Got a call from the school confirming  admission. Just wanted to update.

 School Re-opens on the 23rd of Sep for new primary!

Anaghasri, does your child go by the school van? Wil it be safe to send a small child?

 My child also got admission. We are also planning to drop and pick up ourselves to start with

Congrats to each and everyone.

My kid will complete 2yrs this October. We have already completed our registeration with Abacus this August.

Will our registertion be considered for January 2014 or June 2014, as only in june he will complete 2.5 Yrs.

Can we put our Kid in Playschool till then? If so will it be an advantage to get admission, which is common with other schools.

Ruthvee, maybe it will be a good idea to put her in a montessori school until then. Just my idea since abacus follows montessori too. Here is a list

 I think you will be considered  for June 2014. Did you fill the enquiry form or the registration form?

 Yes Ruthvee, i too think that you will be considered for Jun 2014. You might choose to put her in play school if you feel that she might find it interested and like it. But, i dont think it will be an advantage as such for getting into Abacus based on my understanding.

Hi - Abacus does not own school vans and i was skeptical about sending my lil one in a private van. My husband drops and picks him up everyday.

It would be very very helpful if you can share your experience with us .. Like what answers you gave for the usual questions..

Parents of kids who are at Abacus:

I do not understand their admission system, as they say they will consider admissions for Jan term only if vacancies arise. But my kid has completed 2-1/2 only now and would be eligible only in  Jan.

Do I stand a chance?

vpmp & Anitha , like mentioned before , there were only a few questions and we did not give any pre prepared answers. It was quite short and after a point, they said that they will get back to us. I was very doubtful of getting admission because the interview  ended quite soon. But it looks like there were about 20 kids selected this time for primary but not sure how many of them were 2 1/2 and how many were older since primary is  mixed age group.

They absorb kids in 3 stages for PRE-KG itself ( depending on 21/2 completion)... once in September , January and June. And they will move to the next class after one year only ..

You should go to the school now and get the application form ( 3000 + 300) and regsiter. I saw several parents doing that when i went to ask about when i can reapply again

They will call you for interview by december I think...

Depending on the interview they will confirm or reject. I think the key is to keep your answers very short and never make them feel you are agressive or expecting too much from the school .. Also mention that You dont have any other school in mind other than abacus. ( Schools like to hear this) . Just my thought after the interview .. But decide what best suits you.

I went to the school early this week. They gave me an admission enquiry form which asked for contact details and our idea of the educstion. I filled and gave but no fee was asked. Is this the one or do I need to fill another application ?

They will call you when the application forms are ready ... But you go there in person every now and then .. I saw some parents filling the registration - Rs 3000 .. May you you should check again
