Gigglewhiz is a school in kid is in afterschool pgm there and enjoying the experience. you can give a try , but i guess..distance may not be conducive.

Thanks for your reply. As you gussed. distance could be a problem. I visited Oyster Kids, Sprouts , Bamboola and few schools in Royapettah and Gopalapuram, I liked Oyster kids , but their play area is not that great and I have nt heard any feedback on Oyster kids, do you kmnow about this school?. I Loved Sprouts material and the place but I asm planning to put my son only for  a year in playschool and I feel their fee strucutre is slightly high for a year. Do you know anyother play school ?

actually my son was in sprouts for 2 terms. It was a pleasant experience. It would really count a lot if you plan to make your son continue further also in montessori.Else, as you said, fee is on the higher side.

Regarding oyster kids, i dont know much abt the school. but the founder charanya taught my son in sprouts. She used to be a good teacher.

I dont know much on other play schools.

Thanks yetanothermom, was your son put up in the old building of  Sprouts school near MCTM School, now Oyster kids is functiononig ?.

Oyster Kids also have good montessoire materials, but their play area is  not that great., and I have nt heard much about them as it is very new .

Thanks again for your feedback.

sprouts is very good, oyster is vry new so i dont know much!!

my daughter goes to Bamboola, to be frank it was good last yr, but tis yr im quite not happy with them. js tth my daughter got adjusted to tht school continued till now.

if i teach something which is vry common, its new for her, rather i dont find her been taught about those thngs. tis is my opinion, but still lot of ppl always prefer Bamboola

Thank you for inputs mrsbala.

I was little reluctant toput my son in Bamboola because I flet it is quite crowded and it is about 3 - 4 kms from my home.

Thanks again for your feedback.

mrsbala 2013-03-07 11:07:07

yeah its over crowded tis yr, last yr and prior to tht thy used to stick on to particular no.s in 1 particular class, but offlate all classes are overcrowded.

thy hav AC but i hav hardly seen used by them, always my daughter is sweaty and sticky aftr her classes!!

thy take soo much of money, and still find it funny wen thy dont turn on ac, wen complained thy say th do turn it on!!

nothing is free there. evrythng is charged, on any spl occassions i have not seen thm distributing sweets or chocolates or anythng for tht matter!!

tis time thy charged 1000rs extra dresses which wud nt evn cost 100 - 200 rs.

Dear Surithba,

My kid is going to APPLE KIDS, (lloyds road). She loves her school and teachers very much. They really pamper kids. I too visited bamoolas before my kid joined in apple kids, but APPLE KIDS is far more better than baboola.

When I visited the school there was powercut and the children where inside the class room with the door shut and when I asked a person from the management, she told me that they are not  ablr to use Invertor as there are many children. This thing stopped me from paying the registration fee that I was about to pay. Nevertheless, now I will not even have second thought about Bamboola.

 Dear Sweety,

Thanks for your inputs, I will visit apple kids.

mrsbala 2013-03-09 11:44:07

hi, generaly wen power is off they make kids sit outside, tht day wondered how thy made sit inside :(

wats the point we paying so much fees when you dont provide fans also wen powercuts are there!! as i told u , v r fed up complaining

i already had paid fees for my daughter, once i came bak , my 1st preference was sprouts, but tht was costing me very expensive for 6 mths. hence hd to drop tht idea. oyster wen v went , v got to know it was vry new so i dint want to take a chance with new schools thn.

 mrs bala.

Even  yes sprouts is expensive, compared to other schools in and around mylapore, but their montessoire material is very good, I think I might put my son in sprouts.

Hi all.

Just wanted to bring to your notice that Oyster Kids is a great place. My son went there for a term and now continues to go there for their summer camp. He loves it. Touch wood, almost everyday, at the end ot his two hours in the camp, when I go to pick him up, he has a smile on his face and says 'Mama, I had fun!'. Thank you, Oyster Kids team. More power to you!
