Hi Deepa, I have got admission for my kids in Pre-kg and Class I for the year 2014-15. Does your child get individual attention in the class room. I heard they have 1:30 Teacher student ratio.

deepa1106 2014-03-20 13:38:58

They hav 2 section in each std... yes its 1:30 ratio. Quality of education is good.. yes individual attention has been given.. what ever issues we can discuss openly to them nd sort it out

Hi, I have twin boys and am contemplating admission in Primrose. How is the teacher student ratio in pre-kg? How is the attention and teaching? Kindly give your inputs pls so that I can decide on the same Thank you Arun.

tom2014 2014-03-27 12:17:25

I visited the school last week and just love the campus, the environment, friendly staff and teachers. The teacher student ratio is 1:30 for pre-kg. Need to explore more about the school. Individual attention is given as per the response of deepa1106, her child is studying at Primrose. The admission will get closed if they reach 30 students for pre-kg. Try at the earliest.

Hello All,

I'm currently in US but planning to move back to India next year (2015) probably in May or June.  I'm looking for a good school for my kid who will be in 4th grade next year.  I heard Primrose is very good in US.  Does anyone know fee structures?

Please help me out with the details and I really appreciate it.

Regards,

How is the Primrose school standard? Do they have playground for soccer and basketball?

Hi primrose parents,, I took admission in lkg in Primrose for my daughter. Wanted to know how is the school. Do they really follow the smart board religiously. How effective is it. The administrator was also talking about phonetics practiced in computer classes for pre-kg n lkg kids. does it really happen. I have heard mixed reviews abt Primrose. Hence a bit tense. Ur inputs abt the school will b appreciated

Dear Parents of Primrose children,
I am the latest joinee to your list having just admitted my 2 kids there. I would like to know if there is a Google group or Mailing list for parents of Primrose kids. If not, why not we come forward and share our info? :-)

Poovin 2015-04-09 18:27:59

60kmph 2015-04-09 23:26:58

Hello Poovin,
I am visiting the school tomorrow morning to pay the fees. I will enquire with them. I am beginning the apartment hunt to find a place close to the school.

R1Ma 2015-04-10 01:04:27

@ 60kmph for which grade are u paying the fees. For lkg we paid the first term fees. But my daughter is not joining there. So seat is already there. School authority has said that we can give it to somebody. Would u be interested ?

60kmph 2015-04-10 17:08:27

Hi R1Ma,
Thanks for your kind offer but we already paid it. You might want to check if there is any other parent who are still looking for admission. Perhaps check with your parentree friendlist?

Hi Primrose parents,
Do u have any idea about the fees and donation for LKG @ primrose?

arun4fitness 2015-07-22 12:54:50

Hi,
No donation at Primrose. The term fees is around 22000 for LKG. Plus you have additional 10000 to 12000 one time fees annually.

Rakkini 2015-07-28 07:59:07

Hi arun4fitness, Thank you much for ur details. Could u pls tell me the school timings for Lkg? Are they following ICSE pattern? How abt extra curricular activities & infrastructure?

60kmph 2015-07-29 20:58:40

LKG timing is 9 to 12PM. They have daycare beyond that. As a parent, this is my feedback about Primrose:

Pros:
-Total term fees for the year is about 54000 out of which 10-12K is one-time(better known as donation :-)). Donation of 10-12K is good given that most decent schools in the state charge about 70K to a lakh or more. In addition Uniform + shoes + bag comes to about 4.5K. I dont know what additional minor fees will be asked in Term 2 and Term 3.
- A/C classrooms - they dont turn off the AC most of the time like in other schools
-Teachers are well paid compared to other schools. Less teacher attrition I believe. There are a number of schools here which lose about 10-15% of teaching staff every June.

Cons:
- 54K fees is a bit on the higher side for LKG given that they dont provide any snacks. Other decent schools charge between 35K to 50K for LKG. However Primrose does have AC classrooms.
-You have to buy shoes, bag, uniform etc from school. The LKG school bag is more than half my kid's height. I dont understand why they give such a big bag for a tiny kid when there is so much awareness these days about the load kids carry daily.
-Kids are supposed to sit ON THE FLOOR. They do give desks but no toddler chairs. I dont understand how they can neglect issues like back pain or joint pain for kids.
-School transportation was a mess and took close to a month to sort out.
-Uniforms were terribly delayed to arrive.
-They give a LOT of writing homework for this age and want complete portions fast. It's a good thing in some ways but I am very concerned that my kid might some day start hating it because of the workload. 2-3 pages of homework is the norm right from month one. Homework is sent through SMS sometimes as late as 8PM when kid is about to sleep.
-You wont know what your kid does in class. Just have to believe what they say in PTA meeting.

Because parents are kept out of the gates, I cannot notice more positive things. The negative things may seem strong but then I am thinking this will be the case in most schools - School X may be good in one thing but worse than school Y in some other thing. The days are over when people join the teaching profession out of motivation and talent for teaching. So right now, there are things I am not happy about but not to the point of deciding a different school next year.

Rakkini 2015-07-29 22:34:34

Hi 60kmph,

How about the syllabus for LKG? What are the things they will cover ? Are the follow smart learning methods? How about the transport? How much it costs?
