We had interview on 18th for my kid. They informed that there would not be any bus facility for Pre-Kg.As pre-Kg and other class timing varies. So,they suggested as to have pick up and drop by ourself.
Hi this is sathish I am planning on joining my kids jaikavin (1st std) in MVM polachery. We are put up in medavakkam sowmiya nagar. Could you plese provide the details you know about the school and it pros and cons. Also i think its a bit too far from medavakkam, i tried and it came around 11 kilometers. I am thinking the travel will take long time and the kids will get tired. What do you think?
For LKG it is from 8:30 to 12:30. From Medavakkam it is 11 KM, the access road from Medavakkam to Maambakkam is quiet good, so I think kids might not be that tired. The travel time must be 30 - 45 mins based on the number of stoppings.
@rpr79 & @umat.. -ve 1.MVM polachery is not having proper teaching staff, I mean experienced, well trained with good communication. 2.No personal care, No intimation to parents on the performance of the student 3.No proper communication to parents on the school activities and assignments 4.Principal availability is zero, always tries to escape from parents.(not interested to listen) 5.Compare to lot of Eng medium CBSE schools the standard is very poor. +ve 1.Nominal fee 2.Good environment
Thanks for the clarifications Selvi. What is your suggestions in that case for the CBSE Schools in and around this area ? Also where are your wards studying currently ?
Dear Akila25 / Radhika2207 / Tinavivek,
What is your opinion on the above details given by Selvi ?
@rpr79 My child is in MVM polachery studying 4th standard. I have a plan to move my child to Velammal mambakkam.I enquired and came to know that Velammal fee is little bit high compared to MVM polachery. But I understood they are not ready to compromise on standards and facilities ..etc.
I had reviews from 2 friends and I also met few parents when I went for admission process. My reviews I had already mentioned in the thread. Anyways, I am just trying out for LKG for my kid currently. So I have time to plan in NPS or Velammal when he goes to 1st std after my kid personally experiences how MVM school is. For now I trust upon the persons who gave me reviews (as they are my friends as well) and the brand name. I can surely give 2 years for MVM to show progress, failing which I would opt out for better schools (But still I cannot find one. :-(
Also I dont want to rush with Velammal or NPS for LKG itself for 2 main reasons: 1. There is not even one single parent to get reviews from. 2. After paying high donation for Velammal or NPS if the school doesnt live upto the expectation, it might become even more pathetic.
I wish eitehr MVM or NPS or Velammal brings up their standard as per their parent school in another 1 or 2 years, which will be a big boon for many parents in and around here.
@selvi7 I agree with Selvi7, In my view even MVM started nearly 1.6 years back, there are no improvements in any aspects.Only the strength increased.Even I went to Velammal, inquired and their road map is very good.
Thanks for the clarifications again. But suggest before proceeding ahead with Velammal - Mambakkam do a double check. I also go with the feedback given above by Radhika2207 ( The points no. 1 and 2 )
Regret if am being blunt, but request you to kindly check with the Parents / Wards of Velammal Surapet, wherein the feedback has been 'cold' abt the institute. We were also 'for' Velammal till the time we got this feedback from a family friend whose son is studying in Surapet.
Hi All, I am new to this forum, I hv gone thru the all the comments and views on MVM polachery. My son is studying 2nd std in MVM polachery, we too searching for alternative. Please suggest us. Thanks Raman
