Omega International School, Kolapakkam LKG admission 2013-2014

Yes, looks like a few seats are left in LKG (under 5). I know 1st Std. is full. The school is rather small and doesn't have a play ground etc. but class rooms are well maintained, have A/C etc. My parents checked out the classes, rest-rooms etc and said it's all pretty hygeienic. So I took the plunge. I like the fact that it's ICSE - being an ICSE student myself.

Fee structure is 21K Non-refundable for admission. Rest is available in their website: http://www.stfrancisinternationalschool.com/admissions.html

Ruled out Pon Vidyashram because although they have a ground etc. the classrooms look pretty antique and the school just lacks a hygeienic feel in general (in addition to all the bad reviews).

 when PSBB KKN results are expected?

as now omega is ruledout i am looking for PSBB KK nagar but competition is going to be  even more than omega :(

Even i too got admission for my kid in Sr.francis for LKG.. School is small but it is very good. I checked with few parents nearby my home. I got very good feedback. Playground may be very small. But I need good teachers, classroom and other facilities. All are well maintained here. I am very happy to put here.Yesterday they said only 6 seats are available for LKG. So I went imdtly and got admission. Today morning itself, 3 ppl joined there for LKG.

 Did anyone got a mail for Class 3?

I got email from omega for 2nd Std and interaction date is 16th Feb(tomorrow).I stay in Manapakkam.I got email by today noon 12.30PM.

Greetings from LMOIS!

We are happy to inform you that the application you had submitted on line for your ward has been shortlisted for Entrance Test.

The Entrance Test will take place in the L Block of the school. You will need to be present in the school at 8.30 am on Saturday the 16th February 2013.

Please carry the following stationery items:-

1. Pen
2. Pencil
3. Eraser
4. Sharpener
5. Color Pencils, etc.

Duration of Entrance Test is 3 hours i.e. between 9.00 am and 12.00 noon. However students who complete the examination before the stipulated time will be permitted to leave the examination hall

Please note: Admissions are about to be completed for Pre KG. All shortlisted candidates have been called. No further calls will be made. Vacancies for LKG and UKG are very few and likely to be finalised only by end of April 2013. Written tests have been conducted for Chennai based candidates seeking admission to CBSE Classes 1 to 9 and Class 11. The next written test for the CBSE Classes 1 to 9 and Class 11 will be held on Friday March 29th, 2013. Results from the test held on Feb 16th, 2013 will be finalised on February 20th and successful candidates will be intimated by email.

 my son got admission in omega and attended interaction on 16th mrng. Actually for safe side i took admission in St Fransis also lost month when admissions were going on.

St Francis is very good and class rooms are very good when compared to  Omega. Maintance of class rooms and all is also very gud I personally seen evry thing and over all fee is about 45k per yr.Actually ICSE syllabus  in st .Frances  and CBSE Sylabus in Omega thats oniy main difference. Finaly after so much tension my son got admission in Omega to overcome future admission process.Happyly he can continue in same school for higher level also this is only the main advantage in this school.

"Vacancies for LKG and UKG are very few and likely to be finalised only by end of April 2013."

@prikumar.      Is it possible to attend the entrance test without email intimation? I think it is not possible.

 It was possible to attend the entrance without an email... I was there in the school that day and found that some parents talking about that, as they were able to manage to get into the entrance hall without email....
