I went to the school today to get information about the LKG admission and they told the Pre-KG admission was over and the LKG admission will be distributed around Jan last week. Also anyone whose kids studying there, drop your review on the school. Also their campus seems to be decent and they have seperate building for kids till 5th standard

Dear Parents - I moved to Pallikaranai (Jeyachandra Nagar) in 2010 and was desparately looking for a CBSE school. Bharathi Vidyalaya was one of the CBSE school close to our home. In addition to the proximity, the new building of the school impressed us and the brand name of Mrs.Alamelu (who used to be the principal of PS Higher Secondary in Mylapore and Maths book author).

Hence I admitted my kid to 1st std without a second thought. After few days to the school, I realized I had made the biggest blunder in my life and injustice to my kid. From teaching, to cleanliness, to communication, to conducting programs, to parent-teachers meet, to anything.....this school is worst. I had repeatedly informed the correspondent Mrs.Alamelu, about the gaps, but there is no improvement due to the inefficient functioning of Principal and school coordinator. Even the teachers in this school are tired and resign in short intervals impacting the childrens education. On the other hand, parents should take the entire burden of teaching the kid.

Having said all this, I am planning to pull my kid out of this school and put her in any school, which would be better than Bharathi Vidyalaya for 2011-12. Please parents, it's my humble request do not wast your money on donation and your kids time by admitting into this school. This is no biased feedback, but few words of advice to all parents who are thinking of admitting their kids to Bharathi Vidyalaya Perumbakkam.

Hi all,

I also experienced the same. Pls save your child!

As ksarok pointed out, things are not that much good for KG students, not sure about the higher classes. Definitely, the quality of English speaking and teaching skills of the KG teachers are very poor. 40 students per teacher per class is the norm here right now for LKG.

My daughter is in Bharathi Vidyalaya currently in 1st std. I have decided to pull her out of the school for next year.

All parents, PLEASE DO NOT SPOIL YOUR CHILD'S ABILITY.....this school is wastage of money and the child's efficiency...

Save your child...dont admit them in Bharathi vidyalaya, perumbakkam

Thanks for all your feedback...I am about to shift to Medavakkam and was looking at earlier posts on schools in and around Medavakkam and thinking of Bharathi Vidyalaya as the best option to admit my son..After reading the above mails, and analysis of other available options, I've decided to stick on to my son's current Sankara School, Adyar, even though the distance is 19 kms...(Modern school was another option worthwhile, but they are not issuing any more applications as there are no more seats available in any class)

 Hi All,

The Bharathi Vidyalaya school is very worst. I had bad experience with them when try to get admission. It has worst administration and teachers also changing frequently. Academic is not good. Finally I decided not to get admission in this school. Please don't spoil your kids feature by joining in this school.

Bharathi Vidyalaya Senior secondary school, perumbakkam, sholinganallur Chennai  - is a very good school in the Medavakkam - Perumbakkam Area.
It is a CBSE School.

Excellent infrastructure, Spacious class rooms and assembly area, Play area, Temple etc..

Though Fee is same as other schools in this area, the quality of teaching and organization is good here.

I Strongly recommend this school when compared to other schools in this area.
