Hi chiins, we are interested in having our kid join a CBSE school directly (rather than joining in a small playschool and then getting into a bigger CBSE school later). Considering that my kid is now 2 years and 2months old, how should we get started in searching for good CBSE schools in Thiruvanmiyur, Adyar and nearby localities? What are the options we have? How should we go about this whole process step-by-step...can you please provide your suggestions? thanks in advance.

2 yrs 2m is very small for  the CBSC schools.There wont be much attention on kids and the student teacher ratio is also high for play group.You can choose CBSE schools from nursery.You can put her/him next acadamic year.If u r staying in adyar try shemrock.its a nice play school.let her get adjust to the school environment and then you can think of big schools.

Coming to big schools I know DAV public school in velachery.Supposed to be a good CBSE school.You can contact them for more details.

  It would be great if we all share what ever information on this topic as this would help lot of anxious parents out there.If any of you know the answer for the following questions please do provide an answer.     

• * What is eligible age limit for admitting our lil ones in Pre-Kg in big schools like PSBB, Chettinad Vidhyashram, Arsh Vidhya Mandir?  
•    * When does issue of applications begin? Is it online or manual?

The right age to join prekg is 2 1/2 to 31/2. Again depends on the school...Usually in big schools the age limit for a kid for LKG is 3yrs and 10 months.Accordingly u can decide for prekg.

If u want the admission for june, july...i think u can take for this dasara....Online or manual not very sure,u have to contact the school...

i understand your anxiety in putting your child in the best of the school at this age itself....afterall its the concern of all parents....

my friend resides at besant nagar and her daughter who was 2years 4months when she admitted the child into bala vidya mandir last academic year.....she says its in adayar....i heard good comments about that school....as it offers prekg many parents feel good in admitting their kids there....

or if u are interested in putting ur kid in icse or igcse syllabus then u could put ur kid in vaels billabong as they pick and drop the kids at homes....u can also try Headstart school...its rated and good feedbacks are given about the school.....check them out......
