Hi jeegarpathak,

there are pockets in Bangalore which are good residential areas and have good school nearby. From the child's perspective look for schools close to your residence as commuting is a BIG consideration in Bangalore and u wudn't want your 4 yr old to be travelling for an hour to reach his school.

I am staying in South bangalore- bannerghatta road which has lots of apartment societies and is close to electronic city where many of the software companiies are located. There are also many schools like samhita, radcliffe, sherwood, psbb as well as playschools like eurokids, heritage, kidzee, maple bear, little elly etc. So this area might suit your needs. But as i said there are many such places all across bangalore, so, as u don't have a fix for which area right now,  maybe start your search from areas close to office and then broaden around it.

Hey Thanks a lot for this valuable information.

Actully I am going to join Oracle Corporation near dairy circle.

So as you  mentioned will prefer to stay near by.

Well let me check for suggested schools online.

What will be approx rent of 1BHK in good residential areas, as you staying there.

Lets hope for the best.

Thanks again.

You can consider the following areas for accomodation - JP nagar, Jayanagar, BTM layout, Koramangala. I think the rent for 1 bhk will vary from 6k to 10k, based on the location, apt or house, etc.

If you are specific about ICSE schools, you can check out Sudarshan Vidyamandir (Jayanagar), Clarence Public school (JP Nagar), Oxford (JP nagar). I guess, most of them are done with admissions, but may be open to transfer/relocation cases.

All the best.

If ur office is near dairy circle thn BTM lyt is very gud option fr u. Many flats n independent houses in tht frm my point of view, flat in apt is a better option..Koramangala is a lil expensive area in every respect..JP Nagar ia also gud..Rent fr 1bhk in BTM or JP Nagar wud b around 6-8 k i guess...

DOn't know if there are any One bhk apts in apartment complexes- its either 2bhk or 3. Bannerghatta road wud be a good option for u too.. school wise and office wise. My husband's office is also near dairy circle- its a commute of about 10km for him from our place so about 40-50 min or less, depending on what your timings are... in fact i have couple of friends staying in my complex who go to oracle too.

I agree with Minny- an apartment complex wud be better for u & your kid as well... and this area is very cosmopolitan. Lots of apt complexes to choose from- like Mantri Residency, Mantri Elite, Mantri Woodland, Purva Heights, Ajmera Green Acres, L&T South City, Rose Garden & lots of others.

Some more schools are also BGS, Mitra Academy, Kumarans.

Also tried using google maps to find out information.

My actul office address is as follows,

Oracle Technology Park
# 3, Bannerghatta Road (Near Dairy Circle)
Bangalore – 560 029

I called up Euro school but i dnt know whether there any good residential area near by.

I have been staying in residency having all facilitiesm so will prefer to stay such areas.

I am planning to visit banglore in 1st week of june to confirm admission.

Request you to share your views.

Frm my point of view..BGS,PSBBLLA n Kumaran's r gud schools...Check websites of these schools n get in touch with them on phone..School authorities wil guide u in a better way as admission is closed by nw in almost all schools.

Banerghatta road wud b gud fr u in all respects.
