We could compile a list of centres where Swine Flu can be tested for in Bangalore.

Never know when this can come handy.

Any info. on this? Viral season in Bangalore. We all get so anxious when kids get fever these days. Of course, when in doubt the best is to be prompt in showing to Pediatrician and doc. But would be good to know these centers...

I think all the schools should send out procedure to be followed in case of an infection, should be proactive & not reactive. My son's school just declared one wk holiday because of a positive case of swine flu.

Found this in this link:

The medical institutions roped in to tackle swine flu are Mallya Hospital, Manipal Hospital, St Martha's Hospital, Mallige Medical Centre, St John's Medical College and Hospital, Ambedkar Hospital, Vydehi Hospital, City Hospital Rajajinagar, M S Ramaiah Medical College and Hospital, Pristine Hospital, and Mahabodhi Mallige hospital.

Let us hope we can fight it off - I also want to mention here the precautions I read which are generic but can go a long way in boosting immunity:

1) to get atleast 8 hours sleep

2) nutritious food

3) Regular hand washing

4) active lifestyle

vidya Sagar at rmv 2 nd stage. The child in question had not been coming to school for the past ten days. The situation seems to be getting worse with deaths in Chennai too. Anyway avoid going out if possible especially crowded places like malls cinemas etc.

Hi all,

Yeah, I think right now am going to stick to what Suma and Buddha say--be healthy, clean, avoid too many crowded places. Avoid sending kids to school if they have fever and discourage other parents from doing so. Fortify myself with what if info.

And after doing all this. Am just going to take it easy...No point getting all hassled.

After that it is insha allah.

Cheers all!
