I heard  good feedback for both Gopal intl as well as national. In national it is more academic focus..but intl i heard is mix of both.

Thanks easy for the feedback

GSB 2010-10-28 00:25:35

Hi Teju,

Any reason you are not listed Goplan National in your list

kalirajan 2010-10-28 10:44:28

My son is going to brigade school malleswaram...this school is very good...teachers are very good...even support staff and security guys are very good...their infrastructure is too good...each class has only 24 students...every parent whom i know seems to be happy with this school...considering this school started only few months (june 10) back, we must appreciate their performance...i think, school at whitefield started last year, so i'm assuming it must also be good...hope this helps!

TS 2010-10-28 11:34:02

Hi Vinod,

I am looking for school which is mix of both academic and extra circular.

So GNS is not included in the list.

TS 2010-10-28 11:36:13

Hi kalirajan,

Thanks for the feedback.Brigade Mahadevpura has only 40 students as of now....but the infrastructure looks good.So thats bothering me.Is all the briagde is under the same mgmt?

TS 2010-10-28 11:37:07

I coach a bright student from Brigade and I think they are doing very good job in School. The concept of students is strong, so its very easy to take them on higher level unlike even NPS.Sishu Griha or FAPS. eg, in class IV, Brigade has aleady done Data Handling, Pie charts, which in other schools even Class V-VI students are unaware of. However it might be the parents inputs as well since an exception cant be example in generic.

I would have loved to consider this option, however the distance is the concern and more importnant- we are looking for a school which will have a mixed crowd, unlike NPS, Brigade where my child will never be exposed to the other catergory students apart form so called CREAM or rich children. We feel its utmost imp to get an exposure to different kind/background people, children are made strong by being able to empathise with varied surrounding and not just knowledge. Brigade definately does nt come in that category.

TS 2010-10-28 12:50:00

Hi Sheetal,

Thanks for the feedback.Your point is correct but there are very less option in and around whitefield. We pinned our hopes on Deens, but still no response.

I am looking for distance max 6Km from my home and we are left with these 2 schools.I even thought of Greenwood, but dropped bcoz only NRI and affluent family kids study there.

Even DPS east, prakriya are very far my home.So dropped.Yet to expolre whitefield global school, but not sure of the quality.

I exhausted all the options,so left with these 2 schools.Anyways the cost for LKG is min 75K in most of the school,so as a parent looking for the best for my child.

I am so depressed with this admission affair, any where u go the fees is too much and still u are not sure of getting the seat.

Has Brigade Mahadevpura started app distribution? I had very good feedback on this school, was very keen but distance might be a concern. Even at Deens, we had the interaction but did not hear anything from them, so have lost hopes there and feel distance could have been a criteria for elimination. If Brigade also is strict abt distance, am left with v. few options.. DPS east is crowded and Prakriya is not ready to relax age criteria by 15 days also.. Primus didnt seem convincing and Inventure is a slight stretch monetarily.. so with all those options, we havent got anything in hand yet!!

Teju, please take heart, am sure finally whatever happens is for good, hope you do get the call today :)

agoodmom,Brigade Mahadevpura has started app distribution. It is online as well.Thats what I was told yesterday.

TS 2010-10-28 15:19:14

Hi agoodmom,

Thanks for the nice words.U need to download form and submit with fee of Rs.500.Then they will call for the interaction.

There was one guy from jayanagar to submit the form, admin didnt accept it stating the distance reason. If i am not mistaken u stay in ORR,so should'nt be a problem.

There are around 38 students in the whole school,so admission will not be problem(but u never know these school).

agoodmom 2010-10-28 15:30:32

Thanks, i just spoke to someone in Brigade - if anyone else is not aware: you need to download and fill the form from their website, get an 'attested' birth certificate (by a gazetted officer) and pay 500 when you drop off the form at school (betw 9am-1pm).

Teju, I hope distance is not a problem again since i should  be in 12-13km radius  which is not really close..

agoodmom 2010-10-28 16:14:52

Hi Sheetal,

Thanks for your valuable insight - could the diff also be from the curriculum (Brigade is ICSE/IGCSE v/s CBSE of NPS). Also why are kids in 4th grade taking coaching (esp if its a bright kid)?!!

Parents -is this the norm these days? I'm sure most of us took some sort of 'coaching' outside school only during 12th or for national entrance exams :(

After all the high fees, i cant imaging the school not doing enough for the kids to easily clear even for their own internal exams, forget boards etc :( and i thought kids go after school only for extra curricular stuff ..just my worries

kalirajan 2010-10-28 18:57:52

All the three schools are managed by the same management. We had very +ve experience from the day we had applied. They give individual attention to each kid. My son never likes to miss his class. Since it is a new school, I'm sure they will work very hard to establish a good name for brigade school malleswaram majority of the kids are in nursery, lkg, and ukg...nursery has two sections of 24 kids each...i'm sure as they get more kids they will open more sections.

One major +ve is that they have very good facilities...i'm sure, it is very difficult to get a school in the heart of the city with such facilities.

Since it is a new school, getting admission should never be an issue.

In our very first interaction with brigade school management, they said, they do not expect students to attend any other extra classes...they said, it is their responsibility...i hope they continue to follow this policy going forward.

Thanks Lavanya and Kalirajan, I plan to go to the school tomorrow, have to get the birth cert attested too..

TS 2010-10-29 11:31:28

Hi All,

Anymore feedback on these schools pls.

reramasw 2010-11-04 16:34:14

I went to Brigade school (Malleswaram) and was shocked to hear the fee structure.. For nursery they said it's Rs.1,32,000 apart from the admission fee of Rs.10,000..For LKG it would be Rs.67,500.. She said it would increase by 10% every year.. Books and uniform are not part of this fee !!!!!!!!!!!!!

kalirajan 2010-11-04 17:36:20

My son is studying is brigade school malleswaram...their fee structure is as follows:

  a) One Time Registration Fee (non refundable): 75,000/-

  b) Yearly fees (payable in 3 equal installments): 67,500/-

Fee of 70k+/year is being charged by almost any big schools now!! NPS fee for last year for mont-0 (nursery) is around 85k...NAFL fee was around 1L.

From our experience till date...we have only positives to state about this school.

TS 2010-11-04 17:46:09

Hi Kaliraj,

Any idea how much would be the yearly fees for 1 std onward.Just curious to know.

Bcoz i know Greenwood charge 1.1 lac for std onwards.

kalirajan 2010-11-04 18:32:57

Nursery - UKG: 67.5K

1st Std - 5th Std: 75K

School is going to have 6th std next year...but not sure about the fee.

I heard good feedback about the school on academic part but less focus on extra curriculars and kids overall development.

SamKir 2010-12-01 12:41:05

Regarding Brigade Gateway school :

Can someone advice what would the school expect from children during the interview for UKG? Has any of your kids attended the interview? What are the kid of questions they are asking?

Regards, SamKrishna

My daughter is studying in Gopalan National School. As far as seen the school is very good. They teach kids in a very innovative way. They take kids for short field trip atleast monthly once. Fees is also OK when compared to other schools in this area. Overall we are satisfied with the school.

reramasw 2010-12-08 18:49:35

Has anyone got the admission for june 2011- Nursery for their kids here... had a interaction section today... we will have to wait for a couple of days for the result...

gagsbd 2010-12-14 14:04:35

Hi reramasw,

Can you please shed some light on the .like the process and what did they ask etc..?

My daughter will have interaction scheduled in first week of Jan for Nursery.

reramasw 2010-12-14 19:48:56

Nothing much... They let 4 or 5 kids in a room (with mom if the child asks).  Puzzles, Building blocks, coloring etc... But it was cool.. We then met the principal..she only asked about the family thats it.. she did not ask anything to the kid..
