I am looking for information on admission to Vidya Niketan and Vidya Shilp for 1st standard for the next academic year. I understand that they put kids on a list and then call for a test or interview. Any idea when admission forms are given out and when the test is held? Also, any experienced parents, could you please post on your child's experience with the test/interview?
Though one of these schools would be my first choice for my son, I would also like to keep other options open. Does anyone have other suggestions for similarly good schools in the Bangalore North area? I would prefer ICSE schools, which focus on an all-round education.
I guess you have not done enough home work regarding admission criteria into vidya niketan aor vidya shilip. There are many threads which provide this information pls search.
Both these schools doesnt accept admissions for 1st Std they only take kids from their branch vidya sagar school which teaches kids from pre nursery to UKG.
If you are intrested in CBSE you can also try Kendriya Vidyalaya Hebbal which admits kids from 1st std.
CGS, I have done my homework, and I know that they take kids from their feeder school, Vidya Sagar, but also in addition, have additional seats for new students, especially Vidya Shilp. In fact, I just met a parent a few days back whose child got into Vidya Shilp at the 1st Std level last year. Vidya Niketan is harder to get into, they have fewer sections and more demand, is what I've heard.
I just wanted to get some inputs on what the admission tests are like.
I am not really intersted in KVs.
I thought KV give preference to Airforce, Central gov employees and then to public. Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks
