I am looking for reviews of greenwood high and Deens , parents please give your reviews on both ( pros/cons for both).
Deens is very near to my apt and almost 50% of the kids in my apt goes to deens.
Most of them are happy with the school, but it is quite expensive, not worth the money we pay. They keep increasing every year.
The infrastructure is ok and the mgmt is pathetic(I had bad experience with them last year).Still I ll keep deens has one of the option for my son(LKG) for th yr 2010-11.
Green wood high also seems to be fine,i have not heard of any bad reviews.
I am planning to visit the school soon. The admission process will start some where in oct for both the schools.
Thanks for the update. Can you please let me know the issues with Deens in case u have heard of anything.
Studies wise the school is good, many parents told me.the admission process may start in oct.
Even I have been to school last year for the admission of my son for play group.
But they are not very professional during the admission process.bcoz last year they issued the forms for pre kg even after the 2 nd list and they are very well aware that kids from toddler will move to play group.
We did not even get a call after submitting the form and dozens of follow up.
So we decided to go for kidzee(Daffodil) near our apt, which is ok.
This time around i am looking for other schools as well probably greenwood(transport charges are very high along with the regular fees),whitefield global,SSRBM.
Let me know if any other schools which are good in and around whitefield.
I have shortlisted 2 schools for my son -Deens & Greenwood high.
Can anyone tell me which is the best among two.
Please give ur inputs,it will help me to take decision.
greenwood high is ok kind according to reviews ( pls. see reviewes section of school and search ffor greenwood), but frankly speaking you know better only when u are part of it but definitely more costlier than Deens. I guess If I will go for GH, I would better pay li'l more and opt Inventure academy. But again not sure if its worth the money we pay.
This school business is all very confusing, where you want admission you don't get, and whatever choice u have , nothing seems to fit perfectly.
Really it is very confusing,I did a cost comparsion for both the schools and noticed only transport is high for GH.
You end paying so much for schools, still we can not decide on the best.To get a application form itself is an expensive affair now days.
I thinking to go for the school which gives admission first,so will try deens then see how it goes.:-))
Deens is starting from Oct and GH from mid Oct.So let me see ,keeping my fingers crossed.
Have you tried Brigade -Mahedevpura..any inputs.
I am planning to visit Deens and greenwood also.
any comments on Brigade/ Gopalan?
BTW, u need to consider fees 1'st std for GH. Though till UKG its some 65k but 1'st std onwards its 1L+. DPS is pretty cheaper in comparision to these schools, some 35-40k only even for higher classes
Oh no...I will chk out when i visit the school.
Then deens is the better bet.I think the higher u go the fees would be less.
This admission is driving me mad.(I sent u a mail)
Need to Chk abt brigade.
Gopalan intl is ok and Goplan national is not good.
My friend pulled out her son and now that kid goes to deens.
Any inputs on Brigade? The one at Mahadevpura is listed as 'intl' so I guess the fee would be diff from the other Brigade schools?
Thanks Teju for the update.
Heard that Gopalan Intl is good. How abt New Horizon Gurukul?
Yes the fees is bit high compared to other brigade, they also offer ICSE.
Any school in around whietefield we need to spend almost 1 lac.So planning to chk all possible schools.
NHG has lot of initial hic cups especially transport, bad review in the news paper(one parent pulled out there kid due to harrasment),the link is available in the parentree and above all they are not transparent with respect to fees.
(I have sent you a email)
Is Greenwood High still issuing admission forms for nursery? Can anyone give specific info on what the fees is (Nursery and 1st std) and how much they charge for transportation? Would be really helpful since I'm still looking out :( Havent heard back from Deens and DPS has lots of applicants..
i was told greenwood admissions are open thro' the year to accomodate international students..also one of my friend took admission there in june last year.she is very happy with the school.they have swimming ,skating classes etc.and also i think the kids are given nutritious food and juice incampus...
I think campus wise greenwood is much bigger to Deens. if it is only a marginal diff. in fees u can as well opt for green wood than deens..
Thanks easy! I'm not so sure now of admissions being open thru the year.. thats what I heard abt Gear too, that they have openings to acco. intl students, but when I applied last week they said there were no openings for the main branch now and asked us to go to confident Gear..
any specific info on the fees in GH? I saw in msgs above that GH has a large increase when kids go to 1st, so would like to know the current fee in Nursery and 1st (which will obviously go up, but will help me know the increase).. thanks again!
Apparently in GH fee in 9th becomes 3L+. Going to call them up and confirm. I haven't heard back from Deens.
GH has closed for LKG at the main school but had availability 2 weeks back at the Whitefield center. They said kids will transfer to main school in 1st grade. Fees are 56k for LKG and 65k for UKG (plus 50k admission fee) but I couldn't get details for higher grades - anyway, by the time my kid reaches 10th, fees will probably be 10x times current fees :(
I also visited Inventure and their fees range from 75k in LKG, 1L in UKG to 1.5L for 8-10th grade (ICSE). They may have other ways to collect money - e.g. I heard recently on radio about some play they were having so I'm sure they'll ask parents to buy tickets :)
GH seemed bigger in terms of buildings but less of sports infrastructure and they had a function so couldn't speak with their admission coordinator. Spent a good 1 hr at Inventure and had a very detailed discussion with their admission counsellor. Their heart seems in the right place and they did answer lots of questions we had. Will try to visit Greenwood when their admissions team is little less busy.
TISB is also a stone's throw away from Inventure but I didn't get a chance to visit them - any feedback about TISB?
the green wood lkg fees looks very reasonable compared to other schools in the area..the infrastructure is def.better than deens and gurukul etc.
any idea how much is the fees from 1st std onwards?
