Don't think of it as a year lost. We had precisely this situation, chose NPS RNR and withdrew a month later. The school didn't live up to expectations in terms of handling a potentially younger kid in the class. Very very poor experience with NPS RNR.
I have read a lot about NPS which has lot of branches in Bangalore. Every where the parents complain that there is no extra curricular activity and kids are just forced to read and do lot of home work. Kids grow up with a burden of being less than average student which they do not get excellent marks in exams.
Talking about Sophia.. I have quite a few friends who have studied in Sophia... and they were all confident girls and are doing really well in their life.. as house wife or entrepreneur or working corporate girl.
That's why I choose Sophia for my little one!
Please do good research on google about both the schools n decide... this opinion is mine and suggestions can definitely vary person to person.
Thanks @Pooja28Varma and @Abhijit292 for your response.
@Abhijit292 can you please be more specific in what issues you faced. I actually sent a private message to you. Appreciate if you can respond. Thanks Again.
Hi, did NPS and Sophia confirm admissions around the same time?
@gururajl - NPR RNR confirm really early, around mid Jan, Sophia's send out letters around 3rd week of March
@dad1980 - Could you please tell me which did you finally choose? NPS RNR or Sophia€™s? If you chose Sophia€™s, did NPS refund the admission fees?
I€™m asking because we€™re facing a similar situation, only its NPS KRM instead of RNR....
Please pick Sophia's and move forward. My daughter is studying there & my spouse is Alumni of Sophia's. Excellent school.... *****
Thank you, emaad, for your advice....Yes, we have decided to go with Sophias :-)
Don't think that your child is losing a year .its just for the benefit of the child and not getting over burdened. If your child is born after August you should send her to nursery becuase it's best to keep up with the rule that the child shloud have completed 5yrs 10 months by June 1 when the enter 1 STD. Kids do well
