My daughter has started going to Vidyaniketan Montessori on Davis Road Bangalore, since this Quarter. Found the school to be good, neat, clean with sufficient attendants. The children are all cheerful and happy. Today was my daughter's 2nd day in school and she is very cheerful and excited.

The school follows montessori method, they also have a pretty huge outdoor play area and also a indoor play area.

Their main old school which was on Hennu Main road is shifting further ahead near Gubbi Cross and the construction is almost over (may take a maximum of 1 month).

Any other parents going to this school most welcome to join this Discussion, maybe we can discuss about more things later as the academic year of the kids progress.

Hello Rahul,

I thought that Vidya Sagar is the feeder school for Vidya Shilp and Vidya Niketan. This mont. school that you are mentioning at Davis Road is an eye opener. Could you pass me their contact details please? I looked through the Vidya Niketan website and it does not have any mention of this feeder school.

chaitalee.... these are 2 diff institutions .. the vidya sagar/niketan/ shilp grp is based in hebbal...

Vidya niketan academy is diff... the website is  ...they are based in hennur and not hebbal. The name of the school has been changed to legacy school bangalore wrt to june 2010... maybe to diff from the vidya sagar/niketan/ shilp grp.

My daughter goes to their montessorie on davis road  which mentioned by rahul above is an excellent place. One of the only places that follow the mont method to the letter . Very homely , very clean and they walk their talk.  This mont is in no way a feeder to vidya sagar/niketan/ shilp grp , but belongs to vidyaniketan academy....  Yes the similarity in names causes the confusion

3  terms per yr, Rs 8000/- per term . Maintainance - Rs 5000/-

do u plan to put ur son in their hennur school or on davis road?. I'm familiar only with the davis road school which is very good... they help kids settle in well. I was allowed to be with my kid until she settled in.

Hi Rakulkar,

As your child is going to the Vidyaniketan Montessori, Im sure you've made enquiries about the bigger school which it feeds (I believe it's called the Legacy School now, it's near Hennur). Any feedback on that? How old is the school? Anybody in this forum whose child goes to Legacy? Please respond.

same institution with the parent school in hennur and a branch school ( montessorie ie till ukg in davis road).  The main school also has a montessorie

The main school which was known as vidyaniketan academy on hennur road is known as legacy from this yr onwards ... they have changed thee location to a larger area, in hennur itself.

The teaching is supposed to be quite good and relaxed for the children. I have heard this from one parent whose children are studying in legacy school hennur.

Thanks STJ. Can you share contacts of any parents whose children go to Legacy School?

We are looking to finalize the school for my daughter who will be 2 yrs 10 months old by Jun 2011. We felt good with the vidyaniketan academy (legacy school) from their website, the feedback in Parentree and infrastructure development.

If more parents can give feedback here, it would help us and also many others. We are planning to visit the main school in Hennur Road next week. I'll update my feedback after this visit.

Thank you stj for sharing the information.

The fee structure for kindergarten (Legacy Hennur) this year was 50K admission fee, 5K + 5K towards security and refundable deposits, 36900 towards tution fee (can be paid in three instalments).

The reviews about Legacy Hennur from my friends whose kids are studying there were good except that they were suggesting to send there from I std. I enrolled my kid for kindergarten bcos I didn't want to change schools. Its been four months now, seems good so far and she is happy.

I decided to send my kid there bcos as per the school importance will be given for extra activities, no home-work, parents neednot and preferably should not teach the students and they prefer that kids learn from their teachers only. Will be a friendly environment between teachers and kids, only 20 students/class. Students will be trained to be independent and prepare notes on their own and teachers will have the time to go through and correct each and every students notes and help them improve.

Should see how it goes.

nnp, this is a nice piece of information.

Legacy school is issuing admission forms on 25th October.

Hi, I'm exploring Vidyaniketan Mont on davis road ... are you still happy with it? I've heard a lot about Creative Foundation too.. does anyone have inputs for that school. My son is 2.3yrs. Any feedback welcome

I had admitted my daughter to VNM - Vidya Niketan Montessori on Davis road after visiting the place andtalking to the teachers. Its been one term now and my child's assesment card is out and I was happy to know that nothing is exaggerated and it is as I expected it to be.

The teachers are friendly and nice and the other attendants as well. I am looking for more qualitative feedback from them which I am planning to approach them for. Otherwise, the school is good. Since, it was just the first term , I didnt expect my kid to pick up on academics much. The montessori system is followed well and hence I am ok with it.

How are the facilities in VNM?

Is the admission to Legacy guaranteed at 1st with VNM acting as a feeder?

How do you go about admission in VNM? Should we approach the main school?

Greetings Ms. Carol,

I am planning to admit my child to nursery at VNM, Davis Road in june 2012. Appreciate your feedback and experience with the school so far.
