Thanks. I am looking for CBSE schools which have kannada as optional language (from LKG to 12)
After lot of research and discussing with parents from those schools and reading the reviews.... i have decided to put my kid in Devamatha school. I consider this as one of the best schools.
CMR and Royal Concorde - Fees is very high, so did't even think of it.
I wanted to put my kid in Bishop cotton, but considering the distance we dropped it off.
our second option was Presidency School, Kasturi nagar. We went to the school filled the form and scheduled an interview for my kid. She did well- She was asked her name, numbers 1-10, colours, shapes and animals. then we were given 2 days time to pay the school fees.but meanwhile decided not to get admitted due to the reason that, teachers seems to be avg, infrastructure is avg, no playground, admission is done by some young gals who is not skilled enough. Fees is extremely high. every year there will be an increase in 15% so imagine your kids fee by the time kid is in 10th...Admission fees -50k which is ok, but the yearly fee is too high (70k + transport20k+books uniform5-10k)totally it comes to 1.5L for first year...Assembly is not there(no morning prayer), kids go to class directly...i hvt heard a school without Assembly. ... also i read the article came in news paper twice which mentioned its removed from the list of recognized schools.http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/home/education/Dont-admit-kids-to-these-15-schools/articleshow/49...
just imagine what will the kid study paying so much of fees for LKG, its the same ABC and 123 everywhere...extra cir activities and playtime, good teacher, bringing out the talent in kids is more important.
So we finally decided to put in Devamatha due to the reason that infra is good, playground is there, lots of extra cir activities are available, teachers and HM seems to be good. fees is nominal, reviews were very decent, no remarks so far. Its a christian school so its obvious tht it wld hv its own way of discipline. Assembly is there. Distance would be almost the same between Presidency and Devamatha. adm fee-65k, yearly fee -40k... there would be 10% hike on yearly fees each year.
please note, this is just my view and does not include to point out anyone/school. Each one might feel different so please think through yours.
