My kid too has same problem. She is October born and is continuing in a preschool. In lkg
Big schools usually ask for 3.10 or 4 years for lkg. It's better to go slow than pressurise the kid as classmates will be older, physically and mentally capable.
I will put my child in a regular school next year and don't mind repeating lkg
Agree!
On the other hand - It is just a matter of 50-60 days. What if the baby was premature? Just playing devils advocate - It is sounds weird that the ed system has not evolved and is still looking at calendar years.
Hi Parents,
I am experiencing the same dilemma now. In fact for my kid they admitted in samhita academy in Pre KG/Nursery now.
She is already going to nursery in OI Playschool and is aware of the usual alphabets, numbers & rhymes.
She will be 3 years 9 months and they are not considering her for LKG.
Confused if I should look at other schools which accept 3 yrs 6 months criteria for LKG ...please advise
Thanks,
Geetha
