Hi,
I am starting this discussion for parents who have or are interested in enrolling their children in Ekya School JP Nagar in Sub Juniors 2015-16. Any feedback about the school will be appreciated. I have heard very positive reviews about the school and planning to enroll my son in this school

Hi

I got admission for my daughter in sub junior 2015-2016. Did you gather any further feedback on the school, did you come across any parent who have kids studying in ekya jp nagar ? Though jp nagar ekya does not have a playground, not sure if they encourage other co-curricular activities like music/dance, school events where kids are encouraged to participate.

Hi. My daughter has got through ekya school jp nagar sub junior for the next academic year. I have heard good reviews about the school terms of a all round development .. paying stress on other curricular activities as well. The teacher did mention to us about kids having music classes .. gardening .. yoga etc. I only wish they had a better playground facility for the kids. Though the school otherwise looked pretty convincing. You should check their FB page if you haven't done it yet to understand their other activities that happens in the school.

I got to meet 2 parents whose kids are part of Ekya JP Nagar. They have positive reviews about the school. Some points mentioned are:
1. Teaching methods are new and innovative
2. Kids are enticed with creativity
3. School generally invites experts to talk to students - recently there was a doctor who visited the school and spoke about hygiene
4. School is extremely well maintained and kept clean
5. Parents can meet teachers, about the progress of the child - though with appointment
6. Most of the school events are covered on their facebook page
7. No playground - restricting kids with outdoor sports - school has a basement basketball court.
8. A bit of stretched timings for Juniors and Seniors - 8:15AM to 3:00PM

My nephew goes to this school. Its a top school in Bangalore, and anyone planning to send their kids to Ekya can go ahead without any fear or doubt. Safe, Secured and well organized institution... Admission details can be found here - http://www.ekyaschools.com/admissions/

Any idea about the fee structure for nursery admission.

Vishal15 2014-11-11 15:34:44

It is Mont based and the fee is 1.05 lacs for Sub Juniors (Nursery equivalent) and Rs 5,000 for admission fee. Books, Uniform and Transportation is additional

I spoke to few parents near school, all of them were happy with the school. Ekya does seem to have few unique methods and programs as part of the curriculum, hope they do conduct those programs for kids. Additionally, I heard school has interesting and fun activities as part of the extended time for juniors and seniors.

Though this link refers to kanakpura branch - http://www.ekyaschools.com/kanakapuraroad/essential-curriculum/, hoping all these activities are part of jp nagar branch also.

One observation I had when checking reviews of the school, is that, there is team engaged in monitoring various forums having reviews for the school and posting positive comments. May be nothing wrong though school could have acknowledged that they are from the school and trying to address concerns being posted in the forums.

Do they have CBSE syllabus at JP Nagar facility?

From speaking to parents in my apartments they are saying Ekya is extremely expensive and even the likes of Brigade/Gopalan are more affordable than this.

You have mentioned that your fee is 1.05 Lakhs. Will they increase it periodically? Any thoughts on that will be helpful. And sorry to ask so many questions.

Also little suspious about the reviews online for Ekya. Incidentally, there are no negative reviews at all. Parents who have their kids going there tell me a different story. Not sure if the reviews are genuine. If school is planting fake reviews I think it is better to send kids elsewhere.

Can anyone update on Ekya BTM? Anyone enrolled their kid in Ekya BTM?

We went to Ekya JP nagar seeking admission for Mont Junior. They took application and interview of the kid also been done. They informed us that the result will be announced after 3 days. On the result day, they told kid is shortlisted for Ekya BTM as Ekya JP nagar is already full.

So can anyone pls give info regarding Ekya BTM.

It is going to start in June 2016.

Hi, I personally visited Ekya (JP nagar campus) yesterday as i heard great reviews about the school. Liked the campus. Lady at reception was courteous and polite and helped us speak with the vice principal of BTM layout campus who was also very patient and answered all our questions happily. JP campus charges 1.19lacs (books, uniform and transportation additional). BTM layout charges 1.43lacs (approx, books, uniform and transportation additional) as this campus is bigger and offers couple of extra curricular activities like swimming, football, basket ball, cricket pitch etc. Fee hikes 10% annually. All campuses till 7th grade follow one curriculum. Syllabus change 8th grade onwards. Ekya as of now promises quality over quantity in al aspects. If they manage to stick to this promise, it will become one the top recommended schools for sure.

Hi, I'm planning for admission of my 3 yr old son. Is this a good school?

Selvak 2016-03-21 14:06:36

All,
Ekya BTM school is under construction and as their brochure, it seems to have good facilities. But what is worrying is the school does not have  good connectivity to the main road (lake main road) and the address says it is on 2nd cross road, 3rd main. This road is a very narrow(less than 30 feet) and has houses on either side of the road till entrance of this school building. Will this road withstand the school bus traffic and parent pick up/drop off for the 1500 students ? .  It will be a daily nightmare on this narrow road as this is the only road for that entire area. This school needs to find an alternate road directly from the main road and pls discuss with the school management on this issue before you commit to the school.

My daughter has studied Montessori and 1st grade
from Ekya JP Nagar, had to change since we relocated. The school is one of the best schools which i have encountered, though being not so old. My daughter has learnt so much without any stress
and enjoying all the work given to her. The knowledge that they impart follows ICSE standard which is way more than normal curriculum but my daughter didnt have any stress or didn't want to study, everything was done in school with homework s coming only on Friday. I have found her to be so confident, happy and never saying no going to school. Because of the school, when i changed school, she cleared the entrance exam without any hassle and got selected. I really thank the school, teachers. Very satisfied and hope that one day my daughter joins back
