Hi everyone,

Can someone give me more information on TRIO world school? How are the teachers? Facilities?  Do they have the IB program or plans on getting it later? What is the student/teacher ratio? How new is the school? How have students faired in the exams? How is their preschool? Do they do Parent-Teacher meetings?

How is their admissions?

I would greatly appreciate, any answers, or individual experiences would also be of great help!

Hi Karina

Welcome to Bangalore!

Actually TRIO is an completly International School, kids from 20 different countries, presently following IGCSE but from next academic (Aug.2010) they will have full IB curriculam. ( I have enquired over phone yesterday)

Teacher are very friendly and from different countries.Amazingly they dont take more than 15 student per class, which makes student teacher ratio 1:15

Being their 2nd academic year, many graduated students has been placed in worldwide universities. They have own student service department and counsellor from Canada. And they conduct parent teacher meeting. And lot of option for Extra Curricular Activity.

Hope that i have cleared your all doubt.

This is very nice kids friendly school situated in nice campue,as i have personal experience (my sister's daughter have graduated in 2nd batch). You must visit once and then take it forward.

Bhavni- thank you so much. You've been so helpful. You answered pretty much all my concerns. Will definitely visit it as soon as I arrive there.

The last question I have is, how are the group of kids? I hear from other people that a lot of the international schools have students that are rowdy, undisciplined, etc etc... what is your experience with the kids there?

The other school I was looking at was Vidya Shilp Academy... do you know anything about that school? Which one's better, in your opinion?

Again, thank you so so so much!!

Hi Karina

I can understand your concern as a mother. My sister told me about their strict management and discipline.Probably you will feel, once inside the campus.

As i have personal experience with TRIO,so i will recomend it,rather than any other.

Can you ask your sister's daughter which universities are her friends attending since they graduated? I would appreciate it. Again, thanks so much.
My husband will be visiting bangalore in a couple of months and will take a tour of the campus.

I will ask her and let you know....

Hi, we have seen Trio. We are looking to admit our daughter in pre-kg. Trio looks good, except for the campus size. Seems like this is one of the best schools in north bangalore. I havent checked Vidyasagar, as they mentioned the admission is closed already.

I saw a western teacher behaving very rudely with a Indian junior kg kid, during the visit. I dont want my daughter to get any rude / abusive treatement.

Appreciate your comments / experience with Trio

Hi nimy,

Which school did you see the rude/abusive treatment? Was it TRIO??I have zero experience with it, in fact, I haven't even visited it. I've read good things about it and was wondering what people have to say. I'm looking for a montessori start, and IB/IGCSE program, so this school fit the requirements.

Aside from campus size, do they offer a broad range of extracurricular activities?

What other schools have you visited?

nimy 2010-03-03 18:10:38

Hi Karina,

It was Trio. It was just one instance, but otherwise seem to be the best school for montessori for me. In fact we will be finalizing on trio soon.

Extracurricular activities are from Junior kindergarden only, yes they do have broad range.

I have visited Jain Heritage, and have spoken to all other schools such as vidyasagar, ryan, canadian, stonehill, nitte. Seems like Trio is the best, and value for money

karina 2010-03-03 21:52:36

Thanks Nimy. That was really helpful.

I am concerned with the interaction you witnessed between the teacher and student. Would you be able to tell me what was said? Language, tone of voice, etc...

My kid is very sensitive and has been used to a very polite way of talking. I wouldn't want him exposed to abusive or rude behavior.

Who is the teacher at the montessori level? Where is she from? Does she have any certifications?

The other concern is, how far is TRIO from say Indiranagar..

Thanks for all your help!! When are you enrolling your child? Are you concerned that the academic calendar follows Aug through June..... How old is your child? My son turned 3 in January is 1st year montessori here in Canada.

nimy 2010-03-04 00:03:26

It was just one western teacher, who was arrogant towards a indian kid (must be in 2nd grade) who was playing with the snacks offered. I was not very sure about the situation.

Even I do not wanted any rude behaviour towards my child, I met the montessori teachers, saw live class, facilities and now I am convinced. Yes, teachers are from India / South America, they are qualified

Trio is very far from Indiranagar. This is in north bangalore, 25 kms before new airport. It doesnt make sense for one who lives in Indira nagar. My child will be 2 years and 6 months by Aug, she will qualify for pre-kg

TRIO has one  of the best result in 10th .. my friend's  child has just passed this year... their ICSE is equally good

I am looking for admission for my son who has completed his 10th in CBSE Board and he would like to do Sports Engineering after 12th   and this course is not available in India, so i would like to know if TRIO can offer a course to help him ... even i would like to know if you help students to get scholarships to study abroad.... would you provide  career guidance  to students according to their talent and interests... and when he can write an aptitude test for admission.
