DPS whitefield - worst dps in BLR

Being a alumni of DPS, i admitted my son in DPS Whitefiled after a one year stint in Mumbai. Before that he was studying in DPS south bangalore which was definitely better in all sense.

Observation in Last 18 months:

They are just interested in money. All the other 3 DPS are managed by same other trust and are much better then DPS whitefield in terms of fee structure, conveyance and atleast are not running behind the money all the time.

For the name sake DPS whitefiled is run by Praxy memorial trust but they are just behind the money through out the year and never bother to listen to parents and students pain points. They increased the fees this year from 38K to 50K in oneshot. transport is using all 60 seater buses to save the cost, it doesn't matter for them if it works for the streets of Bangalore or not.

Building is not complete but the students are there in half constructed classroom  to start the year. Not sure why DPS society gave them a franchisee.

pasting some of the threads form the parents below, take your own call:

Even after a lot of confusion, I have sent my kids to school. Their pick up time is 6:50 and bus reached in time,  may be because they are 3rd and 4th to be picked for the route. I am worried for their dropping after hearing from other parents. Fortunately for the route no. 4 ( Pick up), driver, lady care and bus is same, only they have changed the route number. Lets see how they are going to manage younger kids transport - first day.

Anyway we need to meet the management on saturday consolidating the issues.

Regards,
Sheetal

Lot of concerns from my side as well related to same issue. I have 2 daughters 4 & 7 yrs. I DID NOT SEND MY DAUGHTERS TO SCHOOL TODAY AS THERE IS NO CONFIRMATION FROM BAGHIRATHI OR DPS ON THIS.
• This is a huge 70 seat bus that the driver says cannot enter my township so they want to drop/pickup on the main busy road which is a huge safety concern. My daughter was picked up/dropped inside the township for last 2 years
• Since they are trying to accommodate > 50-60 kids in a bus (previously it was ~35) total travel time has increased by 1 hours for my daughter

I was planning to visit the school tomorrow and meet the pricipal, if everyone is going on Saturday I will align with that as well.

Mr Amit,

Firstly , lets come to terms with the reality, there is no ONE school that is the BEST and none thats the WORST.
Fact remains that we as parents are over- ambitious.

I am also a parent who has 2 kids studying in DPS whitefield. Yes, I agree that we did have a few hiccups on the transport issue this year being a new vendor , but guess you missed to add the efforts from the school and the transport team to streamline the process.

In the first place, I think its indecent to post mails of other parents' without permission, and secondly to do a sad half baked job of not attaching the replies and how the problem has been solved !!!

This is my second year in school, and I am pretty happy with the way academics is handled, thier approach to parents, the bright and airy classrooms, open and huge playground, GPS tracking transport,  smart board enabled classrooms and a ready to help principal.

So the next time you want to review, do a fair job of posting the problems and the way it was resolved !!

This school has high influence and does not care for kids. If you go and try to argue, they will ask you to take out your kid and trouble like anything..

We parents have to unite together and voice out as individual response is diluted. I have heard many parents voice out on such incidents in other reputed top line schools too but it has been hidden and washed out.... Its also an offense to hide the crime. Welcome to join and voice out eventhough its a vibgyor closed group :https://www.facebook.com/groups/VibgyorParents

Very true, this school is only behind money and does not care about anything else. there transport is worst. One of the dps parent forwarded me this thread which was running in their own dps parents group when i was thinking to admit my kid. So decided not to do that and thought to post over here thinking it may be of help to some parents. I have hidden the mail ids as some parents may not like that anyone pinging them:

Dear Maqsood/Madam,
Please update us with the change in the drop schedule, it does not make sense to wait at the pickup/drop point as per the old schedule unnecessarily when the actual drop time is 1hr more, unless you update us it is very inconvenient to wait for so long unaware of when they will be reaching.
It can not be justified kids leaving from school at 3pm and reaching at home 5pm, more than route planning please make sure kids are reaching home timely, it impacts their routine and self study. While pick up it is happening hence it should be possible during the drop as well.

Thanks

Dear Prinipal/Maqsood,
Three days back Bus got changed from  big seater  bus to smaller capacity seater bus for Nallurahalli route(2A/E2A), Forcing to sit 4 kids on 3 seater row and 3 kids on 2 seater row. My son is keep telling there is no enough space to sit in bus. i have enquirer yesterday, Helper said same bus will come for going forward. This is not fair completely., this issue also needs to be addressed asap.
Thanks,ijkl.

Dear DPS Management and Bhagirathi Team,    Its with high distress that we as a group want to write this to you,Inspite of umpteen number of complaints to ply smaller buses, still the so called BIGGEST Busare roaming around which is causing a lot of inconvenience to one and everyone.
Even the pick up and drop durations are increasing day-in and day-out just toaccommodate the bus strength.
Is this a way to save money, though there was asteep increase in transport fare and we were promised of better services with the fee hike that you have made this year.
We never saw a single small bus on any of the routes.
Upon this there are issues from teachers demanding the so called Big bus to come to her GATE
Not sure, if you guys ever know these things are happening on each and every route.
Please ensure you address this immediately, failing would prompt us to take take serious action to the possible extent
To start with, please arrange smaller bus on route # 11.

Regards,efgh
