Being a alumni of DPS, i admitted my son in DPS Whitefiled after a one year stint in Mumbai. Before that he was studying in DPS south bangalore which was definitely better in all sense.
Observation in Last 18 months:
They are just interested in money. All the other 3 DPS are managed by same other trust and are much better then DPS whitefield in terms of fee structure, conveyance and atleast are not running behind the money all the time.
For the name sake DPS whitefiled is run by Praxy memorial trust but they are just behind the money through out the year and never bother to listen to parents and students pain points. They increased the fees this year from 38K to 50K in oneshot. transport is using all 60 seater buses to save the cost, it doesn't matter for them if it works for the streets of Bangalore or not.
Building is not complete but the students are there in half constructed classroom to start the year. Not sure why DPS society gave them a franchisee.
pasting some of the threads form the parents below, take your own call:
Even after a lot of confusion, I have sent my kids to school. Their pick up time is 6:50 and bus reached in time, may be because they are 3rd and 4th to be picked for the route. I am worried for their dropping after hearing from other parents. Fortunately for the route no. 4 ( Pick up), driver, lady care and bus is same, only they have changed the route number. Lets see how they are going to manage younger kids transport - first day.
Anyway we need to meet the management on saturday consolidating the issues.
Regards,
Sheetal

Lot of concerns from my side as well related to same issue. I have 2 daughters 4 & 7 yrs. I DID NOT SEND MY DAUGHTERS TO SCHOOL TODAY AS THERE IS NO CONFIRMATION FROM BAGHIRATHI OR DPS ON THIS.
• This is a huge 70 seat bus that the driver says cannot enter my township so they want to drop/pickup on the main busy road which is a huge safety concern. My daughter was picked up/dropped inside the township for last 2 years
• Since they are trying to accommodate > 50-60 kids in a bus (previously it was ~35) total travel time has increased by 1 hours for my daughter
I was planning to visit the school tomorrow and meet the pricipal, if everyone is going on Saturday I will align with that as well.
