NAFL admissions to Mont-1 are over

Hi,

I was talking to the parents who have applied for Mont in NAFL; the total strength of Mont groups is around 30 - which includes the three levels M1, M2 and M3.  Hence fresh intake for M1 is less than 10.

if you know any parents with kids attending mont-1 at nps rajajinagar, can you please find out about the following:

          a) Class strength

          b) How many sections

Are M2,M3 same as LKG,UKG ? If yes, they will have about 10 seats for each class and fresh intake would be even less or nill for M2,M3. Am I correct in understanding this?

the lkg /ukg classes r seperate from the mont section

lkg has a strenght of 30 in a class

but in a mont class which also has 30 students , u will not have all kids of the same age group.. its a mixed age class.. ie having kids from 3 yrs to 6 . Each yr the child moves one level up ie m0 to m1 but still remains in the same montesori class

Each yr they have 10 kids(m3 level ) moving on to grade 1. To fill the 10 vaccant seats the fresh intake is only 10 seats.

thus whichever school u look at, getting in for motessori is difficult.

Are there fresh admissions for level2 and 3 in montessori in NAFL ? I thought they were handing out applications for Mont-1,LKG and UKG only or was I wrong?

No ...they don't take for M1and M2.... just M0......

Lkg stream is totally different from the montessori stream

there is intake for lkg, if the child is 3yr 10 months... such a kid will thn move on to ukg and thn into grade 1

where as in montessori,the intake age is 2 yrs 10 months... the child enters M0 ...the next yr whn the child is 3 yrs 10 months the child moves to M1, thn nxt yr M2 and finally after 3 yrs in montessori (M0, M1,M2)... the child moves on to grade 1

The difference is that kindergarten is for 2 yrs (lkg, ukg)  and montessori is for 3 yrs (M0,M1, M2)
