My wife has completed her first trimester of pregnancy and her thyroid is on the higher side. We have been consulting Dr. Leela Bhagwan and as per her advise, we consulted an Endocrinologist for treating thyroid. He advised further blood tests and prescribed Thyronorm 25 mcg.

Since Dr. Leela Bhagwan consults at Cloud 9 and Bangalore Hospital, I was planning to take my wife to Cloud 9 (in Jayanagar) for the delivery of our first baby. Also, because we stay in BTM Layout and Jayanagar is not very far from there.

However, I have read mixed reviews about Cloud 9. I'm not very sure. Kindly share your experiences with me about Cloud 9 and also about Dr. Leela Bhagwan. You know how it is being confused in this aspect... I want to be sure! Thank you all.

Hi Venkatesh,

As per my knowledge Dr. Indira Reddy also one good option. Many of my relatives used to consult her and recommended for my wife. We consulted her 6 yrs back for my first son, in Gangothri Hospital, BTM layout. Dr. Indira was working in Sagar Appollo Hospitals, Tilak Nagar(Jayanagar) and visinting Gangothri also as consultant. Not sure where exaclty she is working now, may be in Sagar Appollo Hospitals only.

We moved to Banashankari III stg 2 years back  and now we are also looking for good gynecologist around here.  Heard about Craddle hopital in Jayanagar, but no much information.

Please kindly let me know if you find any good hopital near by Jayanagar.

Thanks Venkat. There is one Sagar Hospital in Banashankari as well, behind Dayananda College in Kumarswamy Layout. Apart from that, Malathi Manipal Hospital in JP Nagar, opposite Central Mall is there. However, it depends on the speciality you are looking for and whether good doctors are available for that speciality. Overall, these are the two hospitals near Banashankari that you could go to.
