1) I wanted to know where i could get plain colored pillow cases. I searched the 1st floor of safina 2 wks bak, but couldn't find the same. I saw a shop called"kotton concept" down the lane... does anyone know how good it is? Is there any other place near by where i can get the same?

2) Another query... how good are the lanes of commercial for chikan work kurtas? esp the lane near anand sweets? Saw one shop on the first floor of arihant plaza. How anyone bought any stuff from there? Where do u guys buy good cotton salwar suits from in commercial?

3) Need good sweaters for my little ones. Look for good decent ones... (like the ones we get in US... miss them). Are there any specific shops on commercials where they r available?

Thanks a lot

Hi,

For good sweaters for your little ones, you can go Lilliput  (they are in commerical st and other places as well), United Colors of Benetton outlets and stores, and baby shop for children upto 4 years.  They have couple of shops in commerical sts for children.  I found the above UCB, Lilliput and Baby shop ideal for my little one. It is not easy navigating 2 little ones in commerical st.  Try going in the morning if possible, sometimes it is less crowded; avoid weekends at all cost.

Also for churidhar, cotton daily wear try fabindia and there is one place called soma boutique in INdiranagar (not sure of address) but they have great pieces.  Also there is Anokhi (at leela palace and at Raintree, opposite Windsor Manor Hotel), they sell jaipur design cotton chruidhar, western outfits etc.  Reasonable pricing as well.  There is one place in commerical St that i like : Sterling House.  They sell cotton as well as other materials for churidhar.   There is a also a tailor shop right opposite Sterling house that does excellent stitching.  There is a place that sells Hakoba design churidhar materials ; i think it is next door to sterling house.

For sheets and pillow cases, try Haji Omar in Commerical st or Bombay Dyeing in commerical st.

hope this helps.

Suann
