I am trying to get my son admitted in a school (till 10th/12th) which has montessori/pre-school also so that I do not need to change the school again. The areas I am looking out for in HAL/Indiranagar/Marathalli/Kaggadaspura & its adjoining areas.
Which are the other good schools(ICSE/CBSE) in the these areas apart from the ones I am mentioning below:
NPS Indiranagar I have already taken the form. Want to know when NPS-Koramangala & HSR will start issuing the forms. Whats their admission procedure, DO's & Dont's? Do all the NPS branches share their admission form databases amongst each other? Means can I apply in all the NPS branches & seek admission in them seperately for the same child?
How is HAL Public School & Bangalore public School which are in HAL / Vimanapura?
What about Kendriya Vidyalaya which is in CV Raman Nagar? Do they give admission to civilians/non-government people?
I had called up Sisugriha in September first week & someone in their office had told me that the admission will happen in 1st weel of October. Now, when I called them up last week, the lady Sujata(Admission officer/reception) told me that the admissions are over in 1st week of september itself. Is there are way to get into Sisugriha?
Also, how is BEML public school?
i have applied in shishu griha,so i guesss its difficult to get admissson now:-(
but u can try NPS indiranagar, they have started issuing the forms ,so u can get it ASAP
even i have heard about vaaghdevi vilas school in marathaalli, they have CBSE course, there is one more school called NCFE( national center for excellence ) it is in thipasaandra so u can try that one too!!
there are a few schools on outer ringroad, like prakriya greeen wisdon, its supposed to be a good school
even am looking for schools for my daughter who is in Euro kids indiranagar, so a few parents have their elder kids in New horizon too!! but am reluctant to put her there ,got mixed reviews abt that school
so this is the month when u can apply , calll everywhere so u wont misss any of the good schools around
you can try vagdevi after searching for schools in the area,i finalized on vagdevi for my son lkg admission.it is a normal school and nominal fee structure, the have montessori curriculum as well.got good feedback from other parents from my apartments.they have started the forms issue and admission
Where exactly is this school?
Whats the fees?
Do they follow montessori method of education?
I require urgent feedback about SSB International School in Indiranagar for admission in their Montessori class for 3yr old kid. They told me that the school started in 1977 & the fees also seems to very nominal when compared to any other school. I looked at the school & found that the facilities are OK.
vagdevi is in munenakolala. tat is if u know purva apmts in marathahalli there is a road which is opposite to the apmt, whch runs parallel to the railway track..it is app 1.5 kms from Purva apmt.yes they have montessori curriculum as well
Whats the fees?
mont fees is around 45k and lkg is around 35k
Anyone has any feedback on SSB International School in Indiranagar. How is it compared to Vagdevi?
I am looking for feedback about SSB urgently.
I'm not sure about the logic behind charging 45K for montessory? do they have a specific student - teacher ratio or is it the cost of the infrastructure which is 60% of these charges?
There is a school called Deens Acadmy near whitefield its a child frendly school and has both montesorri and playschool
u can check the site http://www.deensacademy.com/
My son was studying there b4 we moved to hyd...
The fees will be around 45k.
Thanks for the info. But it is pretty far from Basavanagar/HAL Museum on the Airport road.
I went to Vagdevi vilas and its looks good. Spacious and good infrastructure. I have an parent teacher interaction scheduled tomorrow. Can you give me tips on the questions they ask and how the evaulate? Do they confirm the admission on the spot or will they let us know later?
Any inputs will be helpful.
not sure for which class u are seeking admission?nothing much for lkg.they ask the kid to recognise colors, animals, fruits and some small puzzles. and recite some rhymes. They give the admission letter immediately u will get a week to pay the fees.
I visited Vagdevi today & found the school to be pretty good in all respects. Fees for Montessori-1 is Rs.47,500/-. I went to the mentessori classes & found it to be pretty good & complete with teachers & equipments for teaching. I submitted the form today itself & have the interraction session morrow between (10:30AM to 1PM).
They have pretty good campus with all facilities. A lot of options for music classes & sports including a big swimming pool. Fees is almost half the big schools but the best campus & options available, let alone the infamous international schools.
I think it won't be difficult to get admission there as there are lot of seats. They even have a creche(not located in the same campus). If I am unable to get my son admitted in NPS-Indiranagar/Koramangala or may be HSR also, I will continue in Vagdevi itself if I get the admission morrow.
Vagdevi getting admission is easy but you have to pay the non-refundable admission fees within one week. My son also got the provisional admission in Vagdevi but I want to wait for results of NPS Indiranagar.
Also New horizon will open in November.
Anyone knows about HAL Public school. How is the feedback.
What about SSB school?
My son also got into Vagdevi last saturday. Need to pay the fees though till 3rd Nov.
Please share your feedback about vagdevi. Which other websites/councils/people can give me feedback about this school. Please post the websites etc.
Overall on the surface, the school looked pretty good to me. It is equidistant from my house as is NPS/New Horizon/SSB. They have pretty good, own transportation facilities to that would not be a problem. Infrastructure is the the best which I have seen when compared to any other school, let alone international schools. They have good music as well as sports coaching. School is also new, so would be aggressive to prove itself. It is CBSE & uptill 12th.
Please share your feedback at the earliest.
as i told earlier i have taken the admission in vagdevi for lkg. there are lot of kids from my apmt attend the school.i hv recd good feedback from their parents. even with my interaction with teachers i found it satisactory. also my coleague son is attending 12th std there he is also happy about the coaching. for me the distance .it is not the question of affordability but i found the fees of other schools very unreasonable. even in NPS the total expense would come around 85 k.and in kalyan nagar nps they were hinting of a fee hike..
nps has good reputation..but as u know getting there is like lottery..and they are strict abt age..becos' my son was nov born..he was not eligible in nps..only vagdevi takes childrena t 3.5 for lkg..the issue is u will not hear from nps till jan.and vagdevi already has 3 batches appeared for 10th..u can see the topper marks on the board in the reception.. very comparable to nps
and infact the crowd in Vagdevi is also very good ..i was bit worried..but when i went for admission lot of IT and mfg couples were there..one of my friend who is a dr has taken the admission for her son.. so i feel the environment is good..not vey hifi like the international schools..
all the best
Thanks. I do not want to send my son to international schools even if I could afford to. I liked Vagdevi in all respects. Fees in half when compared to NPS/DPS/NCFE/Sisu Griha etc, & its infrastructure/facility/offerring is far better than any of the schools I mentioned above. The only thing is the NPS has got a very good reputation as far as studies is concerned. I will think of switching from Vagdevi only if I have a chance in NPS(preferrably Indiranagar only). Fees for NPS is also pretty high(75 to 80K).
Anyone else, who has any feedback about Vagdevi.
Any idea when nursery admissions close in Vagdevi? Will they be open during Jan 2010? ..and how much is this non-refundable admission fees for nursery here? So if you guys are trying 2-3 schools..do you pay the non-refundable admission fees and then wait..
frm ur msg..i understand that u hve applied for shishugriha. even i have applied this year for mont 1. have u got any calls
i think seats should be avail in Jan as they have 7-8 sections. But i think fees once paid is not refundable..
i tgt shishugraha admission are over already..when i called them in oct end..they said it is over..better call the school and find out..
HAL Public school, Vimanapura is pretty good, very reasonable fees too .. from what i heard. Let me know if you guys have any feedback on this.
Can any body know, when HAL Public school nursury applicaiton is available...?
Thanks in Advance.
For HAL & Airforce school, any feedback?
I heard that the admission starts in January / February. Isn't it bit late & risky to wait till that time? As all other schools starts by Oct / Nov. Is it worth and advisible to wait till that time?
