I am doing ABA for the pasr 6 months for my son who is 6 years old. He has mild ASD, but more sensory issues. Also has ADHD features. ABA is more for skills development. Our doctor suggested OT with, ABA, but i didn't do OT. Now i realise no improvement in his sitting tolerance, sensory issues, attention issues. I see improvement on his responsiveness though. I am planning to start OT as well. Personally OT will also be needed in your kids case, i guess. I am also told after 5 years Ot wont help much. So go for right therapy with your doctor advice. I pay 500 rs. Per session for my son.
Thanks for the response. She has been attending OT for 3 sessions a week the past couple of months, which has definitely shown improvement. We were thinking about adding ABA as well.
Yes, you shall try it, in addition to OT. My sons responsiveness and socialization improved with ABA sessions
