Hi my son s almost cured now. i followed siddha . oly 10 % he has to come out tat too related to speech oly. HE has cured many kids and deserves a high honor. Parents dont waste money in all such bio med intervention. Bcoz i wasted a huge amount in bio med and followed homeo too. But siddha alone helped to cure my kid. Kindly reach him +91 73737 73396 and he knows only tamil but can understand english.

No Pure siddha.. with less effort and with no ot and speech therapy we can cure our kids.. you speak to him in a month of time or within 2 weeks you can surely see improvements..

just a caution. I have never heard in my last 1.5 years of journey, that autism can be cured with medicines

I have seen improvements for my kid only with OT and Speech therapies. Have seen with other parents too

Hello Group,
Introduction: I recently took up an online course about autism to know about the condition. As part of the course/ assignment its been suggested to (me), ask a few questions to a parent about their journey so far. If there is anyone kind enough, please go through the questions pasted below and reply with the answers.
The objective is to understand how and when your child has been diagnosed and if any helpful therapy or treatment was given.

  1. When did you suspect that your child was developing differently?
  2. How did you receive the actual diagnosis (Who, When, Where)
  3. Since receiving the diagnosis, what therapies and treatments have you tried? Which do you feel have benefited your child/family the most?
  4. What would your advice be to a parent who suspects their child has developmental differences?

Please share your journey in tackling with this condition and also feel free to share any extra information that might help me understand more about this topic.
Thank you

Hello All.

my son was born deaf and we identified at year 2 and we did his operation in USA for cochlear implant last month at the age of 2 years and 7 months and we were under impression as he was not able to listen, he is ignoring us sometimes. and we were able to make him play few games, like puzzles of A-Z, number 1-20. so we thought he will be good  after hearing activation. but since last one week suddenly he started doing some expression which is forcing us to think about autism. we are shocked as just 2 weeks before we came out of his all operation stuff :( now i am thinking to send him to india with my wife for speech therapy, behaviour training and occupation therapy in mumbai in india as we have some relatives also whose kids are with same age .  as i am in east cost, we will not allow him to  play in play area in winter. but let me know your experience if i can send him  to india for this or we should stay in usa and i was reading few post which says ABA is the system. as he has to cover speech also for almost 2 and half year so we are thinking to send to india so he can play with kids and we can do  speech therapy, behaviour training and occupation therapy is needed.

Hi In my opinion you should first get a diagnosis for whatever conditions he is in. For that you should get him assessed by a developmental pediatrician. According to our experience assessment and diagnosis is done better in US than in India. So I suggest you do the assessment and get the diagnosis from US first.

Hi Rocksolidlieo,

I am on same boat.
My son is absolutely normal and started talking at 1.2 years of age and we never felt he has an issue.
But many issues started after his 4th birthday.
He is peering objects before eyes, getting over stimulated, running and looking hands, social anxiety all in few months, very inattentive, not responding quickly when we call, and diagnosed with autism. Its very shocking but wanted to help him, please advise us and let us know how your child is doing now?

What is Siddha? Is it a Ayurvedic medicine?

Hi All, I am the pinkdad who started this thread I lost my original id so using a different one. Lots of different useful things have started on this thread. But I wanted to give an update on my original question, we finally ended up moving to Canada as Permanent residents and this has been great. The school system here is awesome for special needs kids because it is full inclusion. All special needs kids are supposed to be in regular classrooms in the catchments public school. If needed the school will also send a full-time aid with your kids. This has been awesome so far for us since our daughter was only in an Autism class all those years in the US. Only when the kid cannot stay in the class because of profound behavior issues are they channeled to a special school. Also, each school has an inclusion coordinator whose responsibility is to make sure the special needs kids integrate well into the school. They also talk to other kids in the class and explain to them why our kids are special and how to deal with them. If there are any parents who are in the US I would strongly recommend them to consider Canada.

anooha 2019-10-11 02:05:13

Thank you for the update on Canada. We are currently in Texas and were thinking about moving to Canada as we know we would never get PR in US. Happy to know the schools are good. Which part of Canada are you in? It would be great if you can give some information about therapy centers for ABA , speech and OT.

Rocksolidleo 2019-10-11 02:26:49

Hi Qass, thanks for the update! We are still in the dilemma to whether make a move to Canada or not. Currently I am in California.
Also it€™s great to hear about the school system in Canada. It gives me hope. Is it possible if I can talk to you over phone so that I can get more information about the resources avaible in Canada for our kids?
would really appreciate it.

qass 2019-10-11 03:20:51

sure..I will be happy to help.. will send my no via pm. Also my comments are specific to British Columbia which has a great inclusion program. Other provinces maybe have it too, I do not know. https://inclusionbc.org/our-resources/what-is-inclusive-education/

Rocksolidleo 2019-10-11 03:33:55

Hi SpecialMomCA,

Getting the diagnosis of Autism is certainly overwhelming. I can understand the situation. Are you based in US?
I would recommend to get started with therapies like, ABA, speech n OT. I mean get an evaluation for speech, OT, PT and behavior and get started from there.
My child is 8 now and goes in a mild SDC here in California. He has made many gains. But still is behind his peers in communication and social skills. We do get resources through public school but still it€™s a struggle for the services. He is diagnosed with ADHD as well . Since every child on spectrum is different, their needs and struggles are different.
As a parent we are concerned about them, but we are the ones who are their advocates too. If I say, Don€™t worry, I would be lieing. But eventually you€™ll figure out things. Believe in your child and your efforts.
I hope that was helpful.

Rocksolidleo 2019-10-11 03:37:40

Hi Qass,

Appreciate your reply.
I tried to open the link you shared, but it says some invalid address. Do you have any idea about Toronto school district or Ontario district as a whole? I don€™t have anyone in Canada who has a child with special needs, so it€™s really hard for me to get information about the schools there. Looking forward to talk to you over phone.

Thanks!

SpecialMomCA 2019-10-11 04:14:07

Hi Rocksolidleo,

Thanks for the response.
Yes we are in US, California.

Thank you for the suggestions too, we are planning to assess OT and ABA for him, infact we started the process too, hopefully it starts in a month or two and he got admission to Individualized Education Program starting in a week.

Rocksolidleo 2019-10-11 04:43:52

Hi SpecialMomCA,

That€™s great to hear that you have already started the process. I wish you all the best on this journey.
Let me know if I can be of any other help.

Thanks.

SpecialMomCA 2019-10-11 22:37:20

Hi Rocksolidlieo,

Sure, Thanks for saying that.

I wanted to ask a question here if some one can help.

My son runs a lot and looks his hands (Feel very anxious, mostly in public gathering places and sometimes at home) and looks objects(Almost everything) very close to eyes(From corners).
I wanted to know if any one else's kids has the same issues, and if some one has stopped with any techniques/therapies.
Would be great if any can post those.

Thanks.

Hello Qqss,

Please provide your number. I would like to talk to you.

Sandy2215 2019-10-18 21:09:50

Hello Everyone,
I am also in same boat like everyone of you. But if someone can guide or provide your thoughts on my issue that will be helpful.
I am in little confusion whether to go back to India or stay back in USA.
My kid is 2 year 5 months old now and we were in California USA when our kid was born and did not see any major issue until he turned 1 year. He used to make good eye contact and used to involve in all activities. But due to my job change (H1B) I moved to Chicago and we kept our kid in Day Care when he was 1 year 4 months, after sending to Day Care we got complaints your kid is not reacting to his name. We are in impression that he is not interested to go and not react.(He plays with kids only limited games not all & make good eye contact & dont like to go with any new people) but after sending 2 months we got same issue from different day care then we realized there is some issue and need to be taken care of kid by US only & we are also impression since there is no one in Chicago for us the social activity is also zero level & my kid is not interested. As most of you know Chicago is one bad city from weather perspective and interaction with people will be very less. Then I have decided to send him to India so he can have good time and also will have social Interaction with many people and get adjusted. My wife and kid went to India when my kid had 20 months. Then later we decided to take him to Pediatrician and Child psychologist because he used to talk very less words when he was 20 months & always likes to run and go out and play outside and dont like to stay at home also. After getting evaluated psychologist from Rainbow confirmed there is chance of Autism tantrums but too early to say and suggested for OT, BT,Speech Therapies. We decided to send him to all 3 since Pinnacle in Hyderabad was near to US and used to send him everyday day. Days goes on we see some improvement from both Behavioral and OT and very less improvement in Speech but we were happy because he started saying single words and pointing things if he wants at least to my wife and her sister & brother. after 6 months therapy we decided to have check up with Kalyan Chakravarthy child psychologist who is good one by now my child is 2 yrs 5 months. After taking him Doctor diagnosed him and confirmed there are trades of Autism which is 20% and wanted to stay back for 7 months more and get treated in India & can be looked in after 7 months what to do next.

While coming back to my question, I am planning to go back to India so I can take care of businesses which we have and spent some quality time with My family & based on current H1B Criteria for Consultants like us it very hard to stick for one place and need to change projects in USA, but wanted to know from you guys based on your experience will it be good decision based on current situation and thinking about my child career like (Therapy wise, Any ABA therapy and other variety ways in India when compared to USA) & also school for Kids in Hyderabad,India to any city in USA. I am also little tensed to bring him back because I am not sure how to reacts after coming to USA.

Any of your inputs wil be greatly appreciated.
