As Aditi said in the other thread, pls try to take help from shadow teacher. One child whom I know was in need for shadow teacher for around nine months. Then school slowly reduced the number of hrs of shadow teacher.
Since you are in Powai, pls enquire in GM Shetty school also. They have different curriculum from stateboard to IB. There are spl need teachers helping children after school hours and as pullout sessions from regular class timings in IB atleast.
I don't live in Mumbai. we visited school since we had a plan to shift to Mumbai.

i am finding myself in a similar situation. My daughter is almost 6 years old, a kindergartener in US and we are moving to navi Mumbai in next couple 2 to 3 months. I started searching about Mumbai and found this website very useful. My daughter is high functioning but has lot of attention, sensory and behaviour issues. She currently goes to an inclusive program in public school and receives speech and occupational therapies with an aide in the class. The student teacher ratio is 20:1 in the class on top of which she has a shadow teacher (aide).
Any reviews about reliance foundation school. I heard they have inclusion program. I noticed from this chain that many people moved to navi Mumbai last year. Can you please share your experiences? My main focus is less teacher child ratio and teachers should be encouraging.
They should actually support special need kid and not just say it on paper.

I was reading the posts on this forum, Most of them are more than a year old.
I wanted to know if there any schools in kandivali west or malad west which provide services of trained shadow teachers even if there is a cost attached to it .We are currently residing abroad and plan to return back to Mumbai. My girl will soon be 4 years old and needs help in maintaining her attention span, and completing activities given to her in her pre-school. Although her diagnosis is not conclusive, but so far she has had a delay in all her development milestones although she eventually gets there. We are also planning to give her OT, speech and other therapies in mumbai. We want to enroll her to an inclusive school or preschool which allows shadow teachers with a low teacher-student ratio.
It will be of immense help to us if we get the information asap since we have been told that most schools have already closed admissions and it might be tough to get her enrolled in Jr.KG

Not sure whether it will suit your need or not which you can identify after the consultation with the school only. But they do have a multidisciplinary / integrated approach with the following facilities and run different programs for kids based on what stage the kid in the development milestone. This facility is linked to their Yashodham regular school which is quite popular in that area.

i recently moved from US to navi mumbai. My 6 year old daughter has mild to moderate autistic characteristics, poor eye contact, attention deficit and very poor listening skills along with behavior issues. she has developmental delays, a big part of it being vision. she seems to be confusing/firgetting left/right directions and writing mirror images for last 3 months. she is highly sensory (she asked to switch off the fan)
she started attending podar at powai but feeling lost like 76powaimum. i am in real need of advice of which schools and area is best for therapists and some references for occupational therapy, vision therapy or dyslexia issues.
