Hello , We stay in Texas and tried for my son last year , he was not diagnosed here then , but as I realised the delays , i started with online therapies from India . First few months i did here . Then went to India for 3 months . Unfortunately with pandemic was not able to meet his therapist and do any in-person therapies . I continued my routine with him . My 3 month's stay increased his awareness about surrounding, people . If he would have got in person therapies , things might have improved much . I would suggest , when you plan to go , you should do with therapies . They never harm , you can see lot of improvements. The people , different sounds and textures everything makes a difference.
Hello, All public schools have mandatory special aids . At the enrollment, they have child assessment and ARD (Admission , Review , Dismissal) meeting at the start and end of the year. kids are given support according to their needs . They have general classrooms for high functioning and given the special support , like sensory requirements, structural learning . For low or medium functioning they have small size classrooms .
My child has sensory seeking behavior . He likes to squeeze himself , either need tight hugs or , in between the pillows .We have been working on his tactile, vestibular , proprioceptive . But his needs are changing , first he used to like to swing for long time . Now he likes to bike ride . We need to balance his under-stimulation and over stimulation . If his sensory needs are satisfied he is perfectly fine .He is 4 can you suggest sensory integration therapies .
