there are many board books available by Alka/ Vikas publications that are quite reasonable. you can find them on Flipkart.com.

for stories, you may simply read anything nice and interesting to him. during toddlerhood, the content of the story doesnt matter. its the way in which you narrate a story that matters.

i will repeat again, you are way too anxious about your child's reading skills. its good to be aware and conscious. but you seem too eager and anxious. in this internet era  there are many things that are available in small towns too. you may buy many books online. you may show many useful/educational websites to your child.

but all this, when he grows a little bigger. right now, its the age to learn by playing and socializing.

dont let others make you feel incompetent...you never know whether they are really doing what all they are posting.  you never know what they are really doing is correct or not.

relaxed and happy parents do better than anxious and worried ones.
