Which one of the two would be better for me 3.5 year old kid, seeking admission to LKG? Manthan Vidhyashram Sri Sankara Senior secondary school The former is a newer small school which follows IGCSE pattern (it currently has only uptil 7th) . While the latter is a larger CBSE school, existing for quite a number of years. I am totally confused. I want to take the risk of putting my child in a newer but slightly better school. Yet the stability of a long standing school is unparalleled. People who have wards in either of the schools or have first hand experience with them, please advice.

Their methodology is a healthy combination of traditional and modern teaching aids. There is absolutely no pressure on students on academics atleast till 5th. Students are encouraged a lot even for a small achievement. My son is studying 4th grade and we had to take him out in the middle 2 times to the u.s. and we are back and happy!..The crowd is mixed - lower mid class to upper mid class which suits fine for us.

Hi, Could somebody pls help me with views / reviews on Sri Sankara Vidyashram & St.Michael's matric schools...looking at LKG admission. Would like to know abt the standard of education / ease of admission into these schools Sri Sankara VIdyashram?!!! Its actually Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School (SSSSS) Sankara is CBSE based and St Michael's is Matric - Both are good schools. Check postings on Sankara for a good review. LKG Appln issue is already over in Sankara. St Michaels' is starting LKG admissions from this year onwards (please check with school - appln forms may be issued by Apr-May). Seems like you are new to this forum and you live in Adyar area. Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School (CBSE) is in Adyar and Sri Sankara Vidyashram Matriculation Higher Secondary School is in Thiruvanmiyur. Both are run by the same management.

PS Senior secondary school admission for pre kg 2011 application is issued on 22 jan 2011. the age criteria is 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 ( as i heard) I stay in saidapet and wanted to know if PS do have any reservations on the distance of residence from school (restrictions such as 5 kms/8kms only etc) Requesting to provide insight since this seems to be the only option left for me currently. My son is born on 29/4/2008 and every school we checked such as AVM, VN, BVM, Sri sankara, Sivsamy kalalaya etc do have a restriction in admitting the child born between 1/4/2007 to 31/3/2008 only PS is one option i am trying to rely on and my residence location should be not be an impeding factor Looking for suggestions and information
