| Groups & Discussions |
|
| What is a group? |
|
A
group is a set of parents with a common link between them, like a city
(Mumbai_moms group) or children of similar ages (Toddler_parents group)
or an expected delivery date (2009_January_Birth_Club). Each group has
a discussion board for parents' questions and answers.
Parentree allows both public and private groups.
Public
groups are open to all all members of Parentree. Any Parentree member
can read the discussions in a public group and can join the public
group.
Private groups are for use by a limited number of members
who want to keep their discussions private. Only members of the private
group can read the discussions and membership must be approved by the
group manager. |
| |
|
| Find groups |

You have to specify the following when creating a group:

recognize what the common interest bonding the group is. Examples of
good group names are Nagpur_parents, Knitting_moms, Twins, Autism etc.,
2. About the group - This is the description of the group. Parents who visit your group's page will see this description.
3.
Rules of the group - If you want to add any rules for the group, beyond
Parentree's Terms of Service and Code of Conduct, this is the place to
do it. An example of a rule could be "Every member must introduce
themselves to the group "
4. Public or Private - If you want
your group to be open to all members of Parentree, make it public. If
you would like to create a group for yourself and some friends, where
you control membership, make it private. |
