Introducing the "I Know You" badge - Page 1

Hi Parents,

First, thank you everyone for making Parentree one of the most useful parental resources in India. Today we are introducing a new feature to Parentree - "I Know You" badges.

A Badge is a mark that is either earned by you or given to you. The first badge we have introduced is the "I Know You" badge.  A user can give this "I Know You" badge to a "friend" to certify and vouch that they know the friend very well and have met them. 

Purpose of the I Know You badge: This badge is given by one Parentree user to another to show that they know them very well and have met them in person. This badge is intended to increase the trust in our community. When you see a posting or a review from a user, you can check their profile to see if they are a parent that other parents know in person.

Rules for the I Know You badge: The badge should only be given if you know the other user and have met them. For each badge you receive, you can give one badge to another user. To give this badge to a parent, you have to be their friend first.

Notes about the I Know You badge: As much as possible, give the badge to a different parent from the one who gave it to you. This increases the availability of badges across the community.

A few users in our community can give an unlimited number of badges - shobha, sathya, mango_mama, and mickey.

For now these people will start off giving "I Know You" badges and kickstart the badge giving. As each of you start receiving badges please turn around and distribute them to other parents in the community.

Congrats !! Very nice to know that it is one of the most useful parental resources in India. It is indeed great to see parents helping and bonding with each other.

I must also congratulate Parentree for introducing a wonderful concept of  "I Know You" badges.  I am sure, it is going to increase the social bonding and the credibility of the person who is posting the inputs/ reviews/replies  and also increase the comfort level of the person to correspond further.

This is a great Idea. Parentree is truly a great source of all parental needs. And this badge is surely  going to increase the credibility  of the inforamtion posted in the site and even new users will feel confident about the info posted in this site through such initiatives.

 This is very good and motivating too.. Most of us have made many friends already who gives great inputs, ideas and support.. Now another component added for meeting them in person, well to start with we can look out for people in our around our residential area in each of our city !! May be best way to start getting and given the badge

Hi how to give I know you badge what are the steps apart from knowing the person in person of course :)

The one to whom you want to give this badge should be in your friend list. Go to "My Friends" link and click on a friend's name to whom you want to give the badge. when the profile of your friend is being displayed, on the left side column. you see the number of badges you can give, along with the link "Give "I know you badge". Just click on that. But for doing this, you should have got an 'I know you badge' from some of your friends. For every badge you receive, you are eligible to give that many badges to your friends.
