Hi Swapna,

Just follow your doctor's instructions.

There are no diet restrictions as such for chickenpox. Whatever the child has an appetite for, is OK (but no junk food).

Give her fresh home cooked food, avoid  fried or spicy stuff. Give lots of liquids like soups and juices to keep skin hydrated. If she has blisters in mouth avoid giving acidic juices like orange juice. Bananas and icecreams are good for mouth blisters.

Also, try not to get exposed to direct sun and ask your doctor to give ointment to reduce itching. The marks will take many years to fade away, so ask her to restrain from scratching herself.

It is just once in a lifetime situation & hope you will soon be out of it.
