hieee rashmi,

if you are  looking for a good school for yr son  plz check out Manthan international school which is in madhapur......after a lot of reaserch and going to a lot of schools we have recently admitted our daughter there ....the school is truely amazing.......it has started off this year and the school in madhapur had till 7th but it is opening a brand new campus in gacchiboli next year .which will have higher classes...the management ,teachers ,staff are excellent ...their methology of teaching is very good and their focus is all around development of the child....my daughter used to hate going to school previously where she was going.......now she doesnt want to come back home from this school and i have seen that this is the case with most students in this school....the personolized attention given to every child here is really amazing.......they deliver much more than what u can expect........you can see the other reviews for this school in this site itsself and that will give you a clearer picture ...byeee

Hi Rusme,

You can very well opt for Manthan as suggested by Mithai, if u r willing to send ur child a bit far.

I feel BVB is better.   The fee is too high in Meridian. Getting chances in Meridian are very bright compared to BVB. Incase, u r not getting in BVB, keep Meridian as ur second preference if budget is not a constraint else prefer P Obul Reddy School in Banjara Hills.

Rgds,
Mickey

Hi Rusme,

Latest update on both the schools as on date.........just today morning :-)

We were advised by our acquaintances (old timers in Hyd.) that BVB, or Bhavan as it is called, is better than Meridian, both in terms of quality of education and fee, the same view as posted by our greatest friend here, Mickey

We are currently trying to get admission for my son in class I, so we have been following up with the two schools. Here is the latest when we visited them today.

1. BVB - No forms are being given for class I at Road # 71, Banjara Hills, and they asked us to call back in the month of Feb. as there are no vacant seats as of now hence they are not issuing any forms. Admissions for Nursery and LKG are on though.

There is a new campus (started last year) at Road # 45, Banjara Hills where they are issuing forms for all classes and it seems there are seats. It can be collected before 27th Dec. (charges Rs. 200/-) and the last day of submission is Dec. 28th. It seems that the admission is on merit (dont know what merit for class I admissions) but will get more clarity when I go for submitting the form.

Need to check the feedback for the new campus.

2. Meridian, Banjara Hills - called them up and was informed that the forms are available and can be collected on Monday morning between 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM (better do it on Monday). However, there are no confirmed seats as of now and they will only inform in the month of February .

Hope the above information is helpful.

Regards,

- Vipul

Hi Gvipul,

Look for BVB-Atmakuri Rama Rao school's review in the below link

http://www.zeeksha.com/school/bharatiya-vidya-bhavans-public-school-jubilee-hills

Are u planning to change from Sentia ? I heard from one parent that Sentia was lacking in maintaining  hygiene.  Is it so ?

Mickey

Hi,

It looks difficult to get admission in to the First Standard for my kid as BVB-Vidyashram(Jublee Hills Road 77), Obul Reddy school are going to take based on the open positions.  BVB-Atmakuri reviews from above link aren't good. So what are the other options I can keep for my kid in the area of Jublee Hills, Banjara Hills, Madhapur & Kukatpally.

Thanks,

Hi Rusme,

JHPS is good too. But of late,i have read a few reviews  that communication skills are not that good. Students and teachers are speaking in telugu or hindi.

But two of  my friends are quite happy with the school. ( Academics + extra curricular activities + amenities )  I have seen my neighbour's son speaking good english.

My daughter's friend from JHPS(class X)  too is not that good in English. I think,it depends on the individual. We can't generalize it.

Rgds,
Mickey

Hi Rashmi,

I collected the form today from Meridian, Banjara Hills. It costs Rs. 1000/- and the entrance test is on 4th Jan., 2011. You can submit the form on the date of entrance. They are also providing the syllabus for entrance alongwith the school brochure and fee structure.

Hi Pawan,

The form contained the name of all three branches. However, the name of other two branches (Madhapur and Kukatpally) were struck off by pen. So I guess the form was specific to Banjara Hills.

Hi Rashmi,

I am considering (in the order)

1. BVB, BH campus

2, Meridian, BH Campus

3. Chirec, Kondapur

4. Meridian, Madhapur

5. DPS, Gachibawali

6. BVB, Road # 45, BH (not so sure about this)

Vipul:

Both BVB (#71) and Chirec are tought to get in for 1st grade. You will have better odds for CIE (Cambridge stream) at Chirec than CBSE

Youc an consider Obul Reddy, Jubilee Hills Public school, DAV Kukatpally. Have you visited meridian madhapur. I heard campus was not good it is in some temporary sheds etc and Meridian BH seems to be the best campus for them.

If i have to pick best three, i woudl pick Chirec, BVB (#71), DPS.

how much you are asking for your sons seat :)

Jokes apart, Unless you live in Miyapur or near by area, i personally dont think Silver Oaks would be better choice than BVB. We will apply to Silver Oaks since we dont have seat at our choice school yet. Two main complaints i hear about Silver Oaks is the communication skills of kids are not good as compared to kids in city schools like gitanjali or BVB or DPS etc and second is it is right there in pollution area with dust, smoke coming from industries.

As for communciation skills not par, it came from my friends whose kids are currently going to Silver Oaks (4th grade and 1st grade). They ahve been very happy with rest of things at school and  we put in our application already. But if my kids get in BVB, i wont hesitate to join them there. We can always get admission at silver oaks at any grade level that you want
