hi geethsrk

My son is studying in Gateway from past 2 years.  Now he is in 2nd std.  Initially, when we joined him in sr.k.g , school is very good.  Fee structure is also normal bearable but it is high when we compare with other regular cbse schools.   But as it is international school we can expect.   After that now principal has changed and they did lots of improvement academically.  Their syllabus is very high level.  Especially english, sciences and maths are very high level.    They increased fee but they also included many extra activities which are covered.   Like from 1st std. robotics subject is must.  Yoga, swimming, dance or music (instrument), theatre classes etc are all part of curriculum.   Till last year we are paying for all these extra activities.   Now , the teaching also got improved very much.  We are noticing visible difference in our kids now.  Overall we are very happy.  They will take very good care of kids like it is one to one care.   And one more thing is from 3rd std. French is a subject which is taught in the school with the teachers from there only.   Also we heard psbb millinium school fee also same like gateway.  We are paying 56 or 58k per year excluding transport which costs another 14k per year.

Hope this info helps you.

sesi.

hi suva

Gateway school is good in giving various extra cular activities.  Academically also their maths , science and english are high standard.   They also have French from 3rd std.   My son studied ukg, 1st and 2nd.   Now we changed him to BVM Global in bollineni campus.  Basically fee structure is very high in this gateway.   Also from higher standards kids need to go to padur campus which is further ahead on omr.   Higher classes also standard is good and they are planning to take cbse affliation.   But you will find many foreigners there and fee structure is extremely high for higher standards.   But they do teach all extra activities like karate, swimming, yoga, music any instrument, theater classes , french language etc.  We only joined my son in bvm because bvm got very good name academically and moreover i wanted my son be in regular cbse stream.   Also fee structure is too high i felt.   Anyway, we are happy with gateway.    Higher classes strength is very very less.   And you find mostly koreans and other foreigners in all classes.   You please go to school and enquire and speak to principal and then you can decide.

hope this info helped you

At the end of the day you just want to see your children happy. My daughter has loved her new school .What is ur son's reaction to the school.

hi suva

my son liked this new school instantly.   Also bvm got very very good name.   Teachers are very very sweet.  Only 2 weeks now to analyze.  Anyway, he is very happy.   Fee structure is half when we compare to gateway.   Moreover, the group he mingles are all Indians like us.  Strength in each class is very less and focus teaching is there.   There is absolutely no stress academically, like burdening with huge huge homeworks like chettinad.   And one more thing there are no serious quarterly, half-yearly and annual exam pattern till 6th.  There is no school dress.   Only on mondays school dress.   All these points are very nice.   Only transportion is hard.   Let us see for some more period whether transportaion also will be easy for us.

We will def. keep in touch.    Pl. feel free to call me any time.

regards

sesi

Hi All.. I'm new to this fourm.. I'm planning to put my son in BVM. He will be going to UKG. I have few questions about BVM.. how's the teaching there. How's the parent teacher interaction...do we get feedback from the teacher of how the kids are doing in the class, since they don't have any exam till 5th grade. Right now my son goes to Montessori here in the US. It is more of practical based learning.. I'm more concerned about there way of teaching.... Have anybody faced similar situation.

Can you please brief me on the fees structure for UKG and Pre-KG including Tuition, special fees, admission fees, term fees? I am planning to put both my kids in 2013 at Gateway, Shollinganallur. Also, how good is the teaching and the student/teacher ratio? Do they have a good size ground? How abt the extra curricular activities? How about results in academics? Do they have a tough round of interview? Waiting for your reply. Also do they have a mix of Indian kids studying there too?

Hi,

Are admissions open for 2013-14 in BVM@Bollineni? How is the fees structure?

How is the syllabus, extra-curricular activities, sports activities for UKG? What is the teacher-student ratio?

Do they conduct periodic interactions with parents reg child's overall development?

It would be helpful if anyone can provide this info.

Thanks,

Mathi
