Any schools with French as second language in Bangalore?? - Page 1

One of my friends settled in lUS wants to move to b'lore .She is looking for  a school with french as second language for her daughter.

There are two schools in Blore that I know. NPS (national public school) and Gear International School.

My son is close to 4 yrs. He goes to Gear school.

Pls let me know the reviews about Gear International and how about the fee structure?

Hi Subha,

Till now I am very happy with Gear Foundation. Even my son loves the environment. My son was also earlier in montessori environment for 2 years and continues to be in similar environment. The teachers are evry well trained and is definitely a different school. My son is getting lot of exposure to various activities without pressure like lawn tennis, yoga, dance, nature walks and ofcourse, the montessori environment.

Here is what we paid.

Admission Fees (one time) : 55k

Tuition Fee : 40k (M0- 35k, M1- 40k, M2- 45k, M3-50k, 1-5 class - 55k, 5-7 class - 60k, High school - not sure)

Transportation : 26 K ( from Jaynagar I Block). The minimum transportation is 18k.

Uniform - none till 1st standard

Stationary - 5k deposit ( deduct the balance as the child uses stationary.  the balance will be carried forward to the next year)

Apart from these, they havenot asked for anything else like other schools, where in parents are asked to pay Rs.50 or 100 for something or the other.

R u sure NPS has French language as a 2n language. If yes; from what age on can opt this.

My neighbour's daughter had taken French in High school in NPS. She is now in 11th standard at NPS itself. However, I am not sure if French is avialbale in all branches of NPS.

My daughter has got into NPS Indiranagar this year for LKG. So wanted to know how soon she can take this subject as 2nd language.

I know of a few children in NPS,Indiranagar but did not know that they have French.Thanks anyway for all your inputs.
