hi rashmi,

icse affilation ? is a worry for all of us

, as said by principal Dr.natasha mehta, afillation may take 2 to 3 years more

,euroschool follows icse education from 5th grde onwards

as said by bindu NHPS IS a good option tooo, euroschool is new as compared to NHPS.

well rashmi, i do understand ur dilema right now, but as u know school takes advantage o four needs, be ready to shell out more money than others,

above all , as per my research es on various schools, one thing remains same is

all schools have few positive & few negatives, its according to our requirement we need to find the right one.

good luck to u, hope u soon finalise the right one.

Bindu; my son will be going to 1st grade, what abt ur child?

Hello All,

Thank you for creating the group and sharing the details.

I am planning to consider Euro school for my daughter's nursery in 2013...

What time of the year do they start the procedure??

Do they have an affiliation to ICSE?

Do they have a play ground?

How is fees like?

How about the home work etc in primary classes?

Looking forward to your help

Anupama

 hello all,

we migrated back from the US 18 months ago and since then my daughter has been going to euro kids mulund west. I am very happy with they way they handle kids and also the progress my daughter has shown.

We checked out many schools in the area and zeroed down on euro school finally for many reason. Firstly the councellor at euro school was very helpful and though busy herelf she did not rush us. She spent adequate time showing the school and explaining the various activities. My daughte is an american citizen so we were very concerned about eligibility. She helped us out here as well and mentioned the extra paperwork we have to process. Thank god for that otherwise i would have to rush at the last minute. Couple of our family freinds also have their kids in euro school and i have been getting good reviews from them as well.

We visited NHP as well and the counceller was very rude, she was liek its very difficult to get admission if you are not a sibling. In many words she told us not to even try.  Having said that the school does have good reviews from many parents, i just did not have a great first impression. My other option is JK but since they start admission process quite late and that too by lottery i am not too keen to wait that long.

We just took the admission form yesterday for admission into JR kg 2013 batch. I am a little nervous and apprehensive but hopeful that she will get admission as she is part of euro kids.

I also want to thank muskaan and bindu for their inputs. Muskaan since you are so active on this page i think you should become member of the PTA if not already. I would like to connect with such an active parent.

Hi Remik,

See my reply given in another discussion on NHSS.

Euroschool Airoli not yet affiliated to ICSE.

NHSS affiliated to CBSE. Affiliation no available on their site. Verified in CBSE-Affiliated schools list.

 Thank you KALPAN  :)

I visited Euroschool Yesterday.

They don not allow Thane students in Airoli School now. They told us to look at Thane branch. I will visit Thane branch too. But that school is really far from my house.

They have their own school ground in Airoli.

The fees are high around

Airoli-

50K admission &  approximately 65K  tution fees.

Thane -

40K admission & 58750 tution fees.

hi remik,

that's true Euroschool still not icse affillated,

also just to caution u.........be very much sure while taking admission to one of the location of euroschool,  since tranfer of a student from  one location to another( even within mumbai)  is considered as a new admission, where u need to repay the donation amount.

Good Luck

Muskaan.

 Thank you muskaan,

I am not planning to take admission in Euroschool  because they do not allow Airoli school now.

About the school in Thane - on Ghodbunder road.

It is almost 1.5 to 2KM inside from the Ghodbunder road highway.  This 2Km patch road is not yet constructed. Part of the road is paver blocked and rest is a really tiny paths. It seems  passing through the tiny old tribal pada ( group of Adivasi huts) and  they are very close to road. I think it will be very difficult to aquire land here for the road widening.

Further Haware city buildings are still under construction and the school is inside the Haware city gate.  Seems totally unsafe place for curious kids.  The back side of the school is litterally part of National park and I  suspect that the leopards visit will be common in that area ;)

 Hi all,

I received an sms about the fee payment for the next academic year n when i checked the webgenie ----- it''s showing fees as Rs60500/- for Ist standard!!!

How can fees increase in such a manner? It was around 40000/- odd last year for Sr KG + 19800 bus + 5000/- uniform.....

Its a staggering and unexpected rise. I am sure they will increase the bus fees as well...

Any comments or suggestions?

 hi muskaan,

you mentioned private bus transportion to school in your previous post. Are you using that instead on the school bus? If yes how has your experience been?

Can you also share the contact detail. My daughter starts JR kg in June this year and we are considering private van for her transportaion. Any advice do share.

hi kabab21,

currently i am not using private van, but 2 childrens from my locality r travelling by van,

they too have similar issues like van not on time, change of the veichle, also the most imp... is whether the van reaches school early or late,, they r not suppose to enter the school premises untill & unless all euroschool bus had left. this is a sought of partiality from school side. and so eventually van childrens arrive late to class & also r dispersed late from school.

will provide u with contact detail soon. can, i know where do u reside?

hi, kabab21

my kid is using bus service since past 3 years now, my experince is  just average, considering the amt of bus fees we pay, we as parents expect a bit more.

initial days of every year is a bit irritating, that's ok since new year begins with lots of new admission and change of bus attendent+ change is bus no+change of route.

morning time, few days attendent is missing.we parents get too furious since distacne to school is long though.

timing is more or less punctual.

till pre-primary, all was smoothily sailing, untill this year when my kid entered primary, the attendent was unable to control fights between aggresive students & hence the matter worsens.

 Hello everyone :

We have taken admission of our daughter for nursery in Eurokids with keeping Euroschool in mind. I just read in one of the posts that there is special paper work required for non Indian citizen. We weren't told anything while taking admissions for nursery, but wondering what are the requirements for Jr. Kg.

Thanks

 Hi Upasna,

There is not much that you need to do. My daughter is an american citizen and she is currently in euro kids mulund nursery and will start euro school jr this june.

Is your kid is an american then all you need to get an affidavit signed from the american consulate.

Just write a affadavit stating that your kid is an american, born on so and so date , along with parents name and the fact that now you guys are in india. Take this along with her passport and pio card to the consulate. They will verify the details and sign it for you. It was very easy to get an appoitnment and get the papers signed. Make sure you carry her passport and birth certifcate.

Then when you apply to euro school you need to submit this affidavit.along with other relevant documents. The fees for a nri kid is the same as any other kid so no issues there.

Good luck, if you have any further questions do let me know. Believe me it was a painfree process.
